Test Invite, wrong attachment

Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I received an email for test invite for July 3rd. However, when I opened the email attachment, the notice to appear letter and prohibitions under citizenship act was for my wife. Mine was not attached. She didn’t received the test invite email but we applied together and we assume we were suppose to take the test together based on her notice to appear letter attached to the email I received.

I called the call centre and they confirmed that we were indeed invited to sit the test together. Unfortunately, the agent cannot resend the email to me with the correct attachment as it was sent by the local office processing our application (Winnipeg). He then told me that I don’t need the notice to appear letter, just bring the identification documents and other documents listed in the email.

Anyone else who applied as family experienced the same thing? Can I really take the test without the notice to appear letter? Any insights would be appreciated. Thank you.

If you click on « In Process », you will see the details of your application (date of AoR, starting process, etc), which includes the date they sent you the notification for the test/interview. There is even an option if you have not received the notification.

Send local office an email about what happened and in case you do not hear anything before test date just go as normal to ur test location and obviously it will be at ur local office so they will know they messed up and will surely take u in

Just to be sure: when you click on « IN PROCESS », does it open a new page with information like this?

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on xxxx xx, 201x.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on Xxxxxx xx, 201x.
3. We started processing your application on Xxxxxx xx, 201x.

Yes, just checked today. No line about the test invite yet.

Here’s an update: I received my invitation letter with the notice to appear and other attachments via mail correspondence today! Why they send it through mail and not my email like my wife’s, I have no idea. At least it’s all good now. Thank you for all the replies. Goodluck!

I didn't get any attachments for mine. They just instructed me to print out the email and bring it.
