Supervisa with partial NOA

I moved to Canada last year in November when I started working as well. I had 1.5 months of earnings and filed tax subsequently as well. I now want to apply for supervisa and want to plead my case with the actual annual income as well as the paystubs since then but the NOA/T4 only shows the earnings for 1.5 months. Will this result in a refusal and should I wait until my next NOA?

You can try but you haven't even been for even a year (not even 8 months) and now parents are applying for a supervisa. You don't even have a year of income. And it says TAX YEAR. Would wait until you have been here at least a year and have NOA that meets LICO.

Your host can show that their total income (including the co-signer’s income, if applicable) meets or exceeds the minimum required amount in either of the 2 tax years before the application is submitted.

Sure, I can wait. My parents are sick which is one of the reason that I did not come back for 3 years and one month. My father has an amputation, and my mother has severe osteoporosis. They are both fully dependent on me as I am the only child.

You just got PR and don't meet LICO with NOA so don't apply until you do. So will they pass the medicals? Canada isn't paying for their healthcare so have you looked at what are their insurance costs? If they need ongoing care then shouldn't be visiting Canada. They don't have access to family doctors or specialists. They can visit emergency or walk in clinics and pay out of pocket but their insurance may not cover it.

NOA is not a deal breaker.

If you don’t have the notice of assessment

If the notice of assessment is unavailable, you can submit any of the following income documents for your host or the co-signer:

• their T4 or T1 for the last tax year
• pay stubs for the most recent 12-month period available
• an original letter from an employer stating job title, job description and salary
• bank statements from the last calendar year to show
  • investment income amounts
  • regular deposits for employment or pension
• proof of other sources of income, such as
  • pension statements
  • proof of ownership and leasing contracts (showing rent amount and frequency) for rental properties

They don't have any ongoing treatment requirements. Just the standard medicines. And yes I have looked at the insurance cost too. I understand I'd need to cover medicines myself.

Supervisa only allows parents to visit Canada and most will not be able to sponsor their parents to get PR so they need a longterm plan to grow old in their home country. Their ability to remain in Canada as visitors will be based on their ability to obtain and pay for supervisa insurance. Supervisa insurance won’t cover emergencies related to many preexisting conditions so not only medication and MD costs you have to consider. As others have pointed out LICO is based on income earned in Canada so you’ll need to wait until next year to apply.

Their ability to remain in Canada as visitors will be based on their ability to obtain and pay for supervisa insurance. As others have pointed out LICO is based on income earned in Canada so you’ll need to wait until next year to apply.

Sure, I will wait for next year. The long term plan is that I will move back until they are alive once I have completed my time in Canada. I am not thinking of catastrophic situations but if and when they arise, I understand that I will have to bear expenses myself. Hopefully, they don't arise otherwise will deal them on case by case basis. One can only hope
