Supervisa VS TRV (Advise Please)

Hi all,

I was searching online for the main differences between supervisa and TRV and I found that the main difference in CIC website that in the Supervisa you provide 1 year medical insurance and economic and the political situation in your home country should be stable.
These two conditions do not appear on the TRV basic requirements. I am not sure how political situation will affect the supervisa applicants but not the tourism applicants. and how stable the political situation should be?
I am asking this because I would like to apply for my parents a visitor visa. We are not sure if we should apply for supervisa or tourism visa. anyone can advise please?
Our parents currently live in Yemen and as you may know the political situation is not that stable, and no one knows when the situation will be stable. Therefore, will the current political crisis in Yemen affect the application? (Specifically the supervisa application)

Please note that all other minimum requirements are met.

In my opinion, you can base your decision on how long you intend your parents to stay.

The TRV is enough for short visits, but the Super Visa allows for a 2 year stay without the need to renew their status.

So if you intend to have your parents with you in Canada on a near-permanent basis, you can opt for the Super Visa.

For what it's worth, the parent sponsorship for PR will reopen on January 3, 2017.
