Hi everyone,

Applied for my mums super visa online myself. here is timeline.

application submitted April 6, medicals done upfront.

got passport request May 4th

passport submitted at vfs chd. on May 5th

Waiting for next update.

Online status says Medical passed, applucation open.

the passport request letter said decision has been made.

If i am right its the indication visa is approved. Right?

Applied for visitors visa 2 times before but it was rejected, hope
it doesnt happen this time, i mean if they would have refused they
might have just sent the refusal letter not passport request, right guys??

Nice to hear that super speed in getting the super visa.

Which location did you submit in?

We applied online and dropped of our in-laws passports at VFS Hyderabad after original passport request via CIC update.

We thought their passports will go to Canadian High Commission, New Delhi. But a VFS update mail said passports sent to Bangalore.

They received visa until 2 weeks before their Indian Passport expiry (November 17, 2024)

Mine case is similar as your, but only thing is we got passport request within 2 days. But not able to send passport as VFS office is closed in KTM.

I believe, the decision is in favor. Please share...

Today i resubmitted Passport & Medical on 8 May at VFS Jalandhar.

My in-laws applied for Super Visa at VFS Bangalore 3 weeks ago. Yesterday they got the email from CIC for medical request.

The surprising thing is that they submitted the original passports along with the application.

Waiting for the final decision!

Hi everyone,

sorry for late update. My mum recived her super visa.

Passport submission Request May 4th

passport submitted May 5th

passport received back on May 7th with Visa for 10 yrs. with category PG-1

i guess pg-1 means parents & grandparent so this might be the super visa.


i did a mistake while applying online, i selected wrong option
in questionnaire & there was no option for super visa there, only
visitors visa & i applied under that. but
all documents i submitted were for super visa.

however they did not object for anything & provided super visa.

Hope that helps & good luck everyone. So excited to see mum
after 3 years.

Hi guys

I submitted my mom's application in person at the Bangalore office for Super Visa along with upfront medicals and passport on 5th May.
I got the passport by courier on 15th May with the super visa

The online status still says in process. I feel it is always better to submit upfront medicals and passport to reduce the time taken for the visa.

Got processed passport on 29 April with visa stamped

I Resubmit my mom's original passport with medical on 08,may at VFS Jalandhar,
but don't received any response from them.
