I got medical request for my sister, applied on 15 Feb 2012 and received on 06 April 2012. please guide do we have to send passports after medical our selves or do we have to wait for call from chc islamabad.

We have to send the passport ourselves after we are done with the medical.

Just wanted to confirm, that Super Visa is for parents and grandparents, Can we also sponsor our Sisters?

No its only for parents, my sister's son is sponsoring her.

Hello Everybody,

I am applying for Super Visa for my parents in Pakistan. I have downloaded all the forms mentioned in the document checklist.

1) Are there any additional documents required by Islamabad office ? Is there a link for the additional documents required by Islamad as I could not find this list on their website.

2) My father worked in Armed forces and is now retired. Someone told me that an NOC is required for all people who worked in Armed forces. Has someone obtained such an NOC and knows the process?

super visa is a kind of temporary resident visa (TRV) so download all forms from CHC ISLAMABAD as required for trv and fill them.

No updates on anymore visas? My moms passport has been gone for a week, waiting patiently.

FYI...My father has applied for a super visa on 21 February, 2012. I have not heard back yet.

It is rather strange that no one has got any visas except the one applicant on this board... why would it take so much time to issue a visa after the medical is done is beyond me.

Done Medical on March 16, 2012 and sent passport on March 21, 2012 and still waiting....

Omeir, I can understand your frustration.... I submitted my case on Dec 15, 2011. Exactly 4 months.... And still waiting..... I really don't know how much more patient we need to be.

Just got call from TCS to collect the passport between 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Pray for me.....

Congrats!!! InshAllah you will get the visa.

I have asked my father to check with Fedex..... Lets see what happens.

@sthaeem; you said it right.I have been seeing here that people are very impatient and jumping to conclusion when they are not getting the responses within the time frame Canadian govt suggested which obviously is estimate and standard and does not have any case specific issues etc. You guys also have to understand that normal visa process take approx. 2-3 month in normal circumstances but we are no talking about here Super Visa, God knows how many parents have been applying. Therefore, please have some patience.
My mother-in-law applied in 2010 and got visa in 2-3 month, she applied in April/2010 so it is normal course.

Conservative govt has some anti-immigrant policies, however bureaucrats run visa offices and they are not faithful to any govt regardless, they have their own sets of rules and guidelines which they follow. Therefore, please have some patience.
