I applied my Mother visa dec23 .i am still waiting dont know whats going on

My mother got the medical call today from CHC.

I contacted Dr. Roohina Sattar in Karachi and the next available appointment is for March 30. I also contact Dr. Nilofar Nadeem / Dr. Aamer Iqbal in Islamabad and Lahore respectively and there is no waiting time.

We might have to go to Lahore / Islamabad for the medical.

After the medical, we have to resubmit the passport within 5 days. As per Fedex, the visa could take 2 to 4 weeks

Lets see how things work. Will keep you posted.

Kan when did you apply? I applied on Jan 29 and haven't heard anything yet. I wonder how they jumped a month worth of applications so fast?

Also wanted to ask if it is possible to book a medical appointment in advance? When booking the appointment what do they as for?

I applied on Jan 27, 2012 from Lahore. Medical appointment in Lahore easily available. I got the appointment for tomorrow.

I think the processing time depends on many things:

Document verifications. Specially property document verification if they do. I have seen in my case that my father went to get property documents from the patwari and looks like there is an ongoing anti-corruption case in this area and the whole register is sealed until the case is finalized. In situations like this verification may take longer than normal.

Also its possible not many people have applied in first 3 weeks of January. And you also need to keep in mind the christmas and New year holidays for people who have applied in December.

Specially when there are only handful people working in Islamabad CHC as compared to other countries.
