Super Visa holder extending visa in Canada

my parents have super visa.
when they arrived in Canada, they only got 6 month visa.
I'm trying to apply for extension through CIC website.
But the documents they are asking, are same stuff we submitted when we applied for Super Visa.
proof of income, proof of relationship etc etc...

I dont think it's necessary but there is no other way to apply for extension.

tried calling CIC call centre to ask but I can't get through as they say they are always busy with other callers.

any ideas?

You need to submit what is being asked for. Yes - it's necessary if you want the extension to be approved.

so having super visa means nothing...
they are approved for up to 2 years of stay per visit, but they still have to re-apply and go through the hoops...

how are they going to gather all the documents again, when they are... IN CANADA??????
