Hi everyone,

I’m in the process of applying for a Super Visa for my mother. One of the requirements is to provide proof of our relationship, typically through a birth certificate. Unfortunately, I don’t have a birth certificate as it was never issued when I was born about 40 years ago.

I do have other documents that list my mother’s name, such as my passport and a family member certificate. I’m wondering if anyone here has experience or success with submitting a Super Visa application without a birth certificate. What alternatives have worked for you, and are there any additional steps I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for your help!

In the same boat. My birth certificate does not have my mother's name. Will have to wait to see what happens.

So i've submitted the following (all notarized):
-Affidavit from me stating the relationship.
- OCI
- Old Indian Passport
- 10th grade mark sheet
- 12th grade mark sheet
