I bought insurance for supervise for my mother for 1 year, I made claim for 30$ which I has not received it yet. Now she is travelling back to home country so no more need the insurance. I called the agent asked for refund/reimbursement but he mentioned as I had made the claim for 30$ which I has not got it so won't be able to proceed with refund request. She was here only for 2 months and made only one claim which is not completed yet.

Is that possible if I ask insurance company to cancel the claim and then ask for refund?

Thanks you in advance for the help

Which insurance company?

would recommend people pay small claims like this rather than risk having your premium increase.

Once claim has been filed, there is no refund. You should have taken advice of your agent before filing a small claim if you knew she planned to go back soon.

I read the policy it says "Under no condition will a refund be made if a claim has been incurred or paid or is pending"
but the claim i had made has been cancelled, neither its been paid not pending its cancelled..
is it make any sense?
