Hello everyone,

I am planing to apply super visa for my father and before i apply i would like to know about few things from all of you;

1) Is anyone here got 10 year of visa for their parents along with full 2 year of entry ?
Yes, parents got 10 year visa (not sure if with 2 year entry). If your parent(s) has 10 years passport validity; they'll most likely get it. Please, turn over Page: 30 of this thread and you'll see the list, updated in April, 2012 .
Direct link: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/super-visa-anyone-applied-as-yet-t92637.0.html;msg1410399#msg1410399

2) What are the chances of getting 2 year full entry at the time of POE (Point of entry to Canada)?
It's an ongoing debate. But I think once any parent enter Canada with >2 years of Super Visa, s/he can stay for 2 years unless it's limited/restricted at POE.

3) What is the approx. cost of travel insurance for 1 year and which company is offering good policy in term of cost/benefit?
Depends highly on age, deductible premiums and how much you want to cover on pre-existing conditions. For a quick comparison, try this:

Hey guys,

I am willing to apply for mom to come and visit us! and i did some researches and found out that Super visa is the best option!
I would really appreciate help from people that already got approved for the super visa!
I also think it is a good idea to get a good travel insurance so i guess i will go with zero destructibility.
since my mom came here twice do you think she has more chances to get approved?
Where can i find the travel history document?

Thank you so much for your help!

Regards,

Only your parents file for super visa, you just need to add some of the required paperwork.
Here is the link to all the forms and the requirements:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/supervisa-how.asp

there is only one form IMM 5257 for a single applicant and there is no space for information for dependent(spouse)....should the parents fill the two separate forms for supervisa.....

Please, see No. 10 of IMM 5257 form. It asks for SPOUSE info. And yes, you guessed right, you have to fill out 2 separate application forms for each of your parents. Most visa office would also require the applicants to fill out IMM 5645 - Family Information form where details about parents/spouse/children/siblings are asked.

Contact/Google the visa office where you'll be applying, they have their own checklist to follow. And also read IMM 5256 - Instruction Guide.

Travel Guard is fine for Insurance but the policy will not allow you to renew for another year, you will need to find a different insurance company at renewal time. There is also no underwriting with Travel Guard so like the majority of visitors to Canada policies you will be dealing with post claim underwriting. What this means is when you but a policy you qualify to pay the premium, you will only know if you have insurance at time of claim. This is how post claim underwriting works, there is only one company right now that I deal with that will underwrite at time of application.

I am not suggesting you need to panic but simply have to be more careful. The other restriction is there is no coverage if someone plans to visit Cuba, U.S. companies have an embargo for any travel to Cuba.
