Study permit expired.

Hey, Im study permit expired and i havent applied for an extension yet because my passport is being renewed. I know about the restoration of status I have to do within 90 days, but the thing is my university marks arent exactly good. So, I was thinking, whats the best course of action i can take right now.

If you want to stay in Canada and continue your studies, your only choice is to apply to restore your status within 90 days of your study permit expiring. Hopefully you stopped attending school and/or working as soon as your study permit expired.

yeah but that's the thing. If I stop studying, that's like dropping out of university. Won't that be a huge problem later?

It will be a much bigger problem if you continue studying after your visa has expired. If you do that, you're studying illegally and that will make it much more difficult to get your status restored.
