STUDY PERMIT - APPLIED ON OCTOBER 2020

The bank account I provided is in my mother and grandmother name, they asked for an explanation to my ties to my grandmother.
Also they asked about my activities in the Uk in the last 2 months prior to the application.
My timeline is as below:
Application Date: 5th Oct for Jan 2021 intake
Category: SDS from Vietnam
Biometrics date: 8th Oct
Medical upfront on Sep
Background was processing
Eligibility was not started
No any webform raised
College on covid readiness plan list from 20th Nov

I got ghost updates on 5th Jan 2021:
- Passed the medical exam
- Eligibility was now reviewing
(No email notification)

When do you guys think I will get the next update?

That means that you are waiting more than 3 months and have not received decision yet?
Raise a webform.
I raised a web form, and got the PPR with in two days.
I’m assuming thats your first update. Next update will be after a month my friend. So stay strong. Good luck

The reason I raised the form was, the processing time for Sri Lanka turned four weeks during the weekly update. my application was submitted on October 28, since it was more than 10 weeks, I raised an inquiry asking the status of the application as the Program starts next week.
They replied on the next day asking for my medical, which i gave upfront. I got the PPR after that.

Oh really, congrats to you! I thought it was due to the fact that your application was a non-SDS one which was processed faster during this period, I thought so...
Also, the processing time for Vietnam is around 25 ~ 27 weeks and my application was just 14 weeks.
Yes it was the first update of my application. A month would be late for me... My defer deadline is by the end of next week. I saw some cases in this forum that they get the result after medical passed around 2 weeks?!

I just received BVL today.
my last update was on Oct 18th.
Here is my timeline guys.
Study permit application submitted (online, India): 17 October 2020
Intake: January 17, 2021
Visa category: Regular
Biometrics submission and update in GCkey: 08 December 2020
Medical request (from IRCC): 09 December 2020
Medical exam passed: 21 December 2020 (Ghost update)
Eligibility and background is under review and still waiting. No further communications from IRCC yet.
Any guess on final decision this month?
