Dated August 8, 2013 - "The striking foreign service officers’ union could be forced to wait anywhere from three to four weeks to obtain a hearing at the Public Service Labour Relations Board (PSLRB), possibly dragging job action into the fall."

Key emphasis on "dragging job action into the fall".

FYI the PSLRB hearing was on August 21st and they are now awaiting a decision which is said to be released in "due course". Which doesn't really mean anything :) After that, both parties will have 30 days to appeal the decision. So best case scenario strike should be over in x + 30 days, where x is the days left until a decision is released AND the decision is to force both parties to go to binding arbitration without the conditions that the Treasury Board had set and PAFSO rejected AND the government does not file an appeal.
