Still OK to apply under NOC A (2174)?

I am almost ready with all my documents and planning to apply (under 2174) by Aug 15.

Is it still good to apply? I am wondering if there's enough place available or not.

Hi,

apply as soon as you can. You can check the application count here:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/cec/applications-accepted.asp
You should be good to apply on August 15th, but no one will be able to tell you for sure.

I have checked the link and it says following:

Total applications received towards the overall cap: 1,747 / 8,000

It doesn't look correct.

Doesn't matter if you think it's correct or not ;D
If there's still room in the cap then you can apply, if it reaches 8,000 before you apply, you're out.

You really think it is filling up soon? I for one don't see it... It's been almost 3 months since May 1st and the count is not likely reaching 3,000. By that I mean it should be good all the way to Dec 31st =)

Nope, I don't think it's going to fill up anytime soon, but you never know 8)
That's why I keep saying, that no one will be able to tell, but as long as there's
room, people can apply.

Go ahead and apply. Don't worry about the 200 count.

"As of May 1, 2014, there is an overall cap of 8,000 for new Canadian Experience Class applications. There are also sub-caps of 200 for each National Occupational Classification B applications."

200 cap doesn't apply to NOC A applicants. But, 8000 cap applies to all NOCs.

You are great man...Really makes me feel comfortable when you say that you dont see these 8000 applications filling soon...I am keeping track of the weekly updates and hopefully I will be good in applying by mid october....I am counting on your experience

Is it still safe to apply by Oct 10 2014?

Yes you are safe at least until mid Nov.
