Hi ditta, i received a letter saying as below.(i don't know if this is AIP or meaning of transferring my file to my local office)ditta said:I read received initial assesment? Does it mean you got AIP/ Approval in Principle or was your case transferred to your local office? If so, what your local office is? If you are waiting for an interview to have your relationship assed it can take up to 9-18 months from the time of transfer to get an interview date at certain local offices which have huge backlogs- like Calgary, Scarborough, Etobicoke, Edmonton.
Order your FOSS notes, find out where your file is and what happened with it from the very beginning.
I would say, if your file was transferred it is a normal timeline, if you received AIP, then something must be wrong as I really don`t know anyone who waited that long for 2nd stage inland. Actually, Eyeoftheocean, but she had security interviews. (hope Eye, you don`t mind that I mentioned you.)The the total processing time is max. 18 months without a file transfer.
Contact your MP and get him/her involved!
" It has been determined that you meet the eligiblity requirements to apply for permanent resident.
However, a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements have been met.
You cannot become a permanent resident until you and all your family members both in canada and abroad have met these requirements."
I sent all the requirements already and i haven't been asked for extra yet.
And i don't understand why they have to check my family in abroad.
I don't know if this is normal and i don't even know where my file is now.
