Hey everyone!
So i'd like to explain this situation first. So my brother and I got a study permit in 2014 and ends on dec 2018. However, after the first year at uni, my brother dropped out due to low grades. He stayed in Canada for a year and started studying in another institute again after a year of doing nothing once he dropped out after first year. Then, after his first year in his second institute, he was kept on academic suspension where he was not allowed to take any classes for 8 months and again, he did not do anything. Now we are extending our study permits further as I have about 6 months left in my school, and he still has more (he has returned to studying this september and is enrolled in classes as a full time student again). However, they have requested that he provide proof of his education throughout the years. If he was not in school, they are asking him to provide a reason for this. What can he say to get him the best chances of extending his permit? The reason he did not do well in the beginning was due to personal problems, but there are no medical records or anything for this. Any and all help would be appreciated!
Thank you!
