Thanks Chilkootcee.

The average processing time given of 13 months; should that be calculated from (in may case) May 27th?

When was your file transferred to ADVO? Don't put to much weight on "in process" status on eCas. In my case there's no way they could have processed my file in 1 day. Did you think of ordering your notes? Good luck.
Yes I did order the note and waiting :-X hopefully dates pass by so quickly ???

Hi everyone, Eid Mubarak for u all

Yesterday I received an email from the Regional Medical Office in India,

The results of initial medical examinations for yourself has expired. In order to provide your application with an updated validity we require following additional medical examination(s) for yourself:

Chest Xray (in DICOM / JPEG format) with report (in PDF)
Completed MEDICAL REPORT CHEST X-RAY REQUISITION AND REPORT form (Page 5 and 6 of IMM5419) (in PDF)
Duly completed Re-assessment Form (in PDF/word)
Any advice? what could be implied from this ?

Hi
I'd appreciate your answers to couple of questions:

Q1: What is the meaning of "Med's Request: Upfront" ?
Why some applicant have to resubmit their Med's again ? is because of expiry reason ?

Q2: in the spousal sponsorship process, they mention that both "sponsor" and "Sponsored spouse" must apply at the same time, see both applications in the same envelop (Our case: "Sponsor" is PR residing in Canada ). But the process is a 2-satge process, first evaluation of the Sponsor then the Sponsored. So a bit confused here !

Thank you

Hello kiwi1959.
Re: Med exam. There 2 ways to do immigration medical exams. 1-Wait for instructions once you submit your application. 2-Do your exam before you submit your application, this is what is referred to as "Upfront", as in before 'They' asked you to do it. Medical exams are valid for 12 months, once it's passed that(passed 12months), the visa officer may/may not ask for a new med examination.

The process is 2 stages, but you'll need to send in both applications(sponsorship & Residency) at the same time, 1st stage will be Sponsorship approval, then the whole file gets forwarded to the visa office. I can't stress enough on how important it is to go over your documents again and again and again. Follow the instructions, and include all documents applicable to you and ensure no blanks are left in any of your answers. Good luck.

Hello,
To those whom submitted their passports to the embassy. Do you get an acknowledgment, update, info, etc.. that the passport is in their position, etc.. Has anybody gotten their processed passport back recently? If so, please share what method was used and how long it took. Several members have submitted their passports within the last month or so, but I haven't seen/heard/read of any that received their passport recently. Thanks.
