I am trying to be patient but its wearing so thin right now... No news at all from ADVO since I sent my additional docs almost 15 days ago. Anyway only thing that keeps me going for now is my visit to Canada on 1st September to see my husband

Honestly, we too have lost all the excitement and hope. We sent our additional docs in march, and its been a while no news whatsoever. Your case was before ours so I can understand how you feel. Hope you have a great time with the hubby. We are lucky cuz we are living together but it must be hard on the rest of you to stay away for so long

My friend had a house in Canada and his parents lived there too. So I guess it was easier for them to show their intent of moving back. He provided the usual - tenancy contract, exchange of emails between him and the recruitment agencies, exchange of emails with a nursery where they were looking to admit their child etc.

I am sure there is another group on this forum which has people in the same situation as you. It would be best you join those for more information. This discussion is mostly for those whose sponsors are Permanent Residents and already living in Canada.

Hey, I too am sponsoring my husband while living with him (outside Canada). Honestly, all you can really do is just write to them your plan and intentions of moving back.

Hmm thats what I was thinking...telling them about the job offer or job searches...maintaining the bank account and then regularly filing the taxes etc is all that is on my mind

I was going through the country specific guide 911e for middle east and noticed that the residence questionnaire form for abu dhabi is in French. The English version is nowhere to find on CIC website. Am I looking at the wrong guide for Middle east region? If so please send me a link to the right guide.

Thank u for ur reply but thats what I am asking that how to show the intent? As in what did ur friend do to show his intention to move back....plus its mentioned in the email that I can reply back by courier, mail or email anyway I want to and they gave the respective addresses... plus can u guide me as what to reply to this point *3* I mentioned cux my sponsor is a Canadian but residing outside canada

Some points to look into as discussed previously in this forum

If sponsor is not residing in Canada - you may want to show intent to return back
1- Biggest proof is termination of present job
2- Visa Cancellation
3- Contacting Real Estate Agent in Canada and Inquiring Housing ( Gathering the Email conversation)
4- Job Applications in Canada or Correspondence with Recuriters
5- Education for Children ( if any) - Correspondence with school

Also, can you give me a brief on the medicals procedure from A to Z? Please this is very important

I did my medicals upfront in Dubai and I had to take a prior appointment with the clinic. I got an appointment within 2 days of calling them so it wasnt too hard. Some authorised medical clinics require a letter from CIC requesting the medicals and only then accept to do the medicals so you would need to check with them first. They do blood and urine test and X-ray. Upon completion of the tests, they will print a confirmation which you will need to include along with your application and the results of the medicals will be available online to the Visa Officer. The clinic will also get in touch with you once the test results are ready and will call you in for additional tests if required.

If you are unable to provide medicals along with the initial application, please do write to CIC explaining the same.

hi! i'm new in this forum. My wife is living in Manitoba we got married last year. She applied for the sponsor assessment last December 2013 and until now no response from them.
How long does it usually take to get the result of the sponsor assessment?
