We started our sponsorship in May 2012. The file was transferred to Abu Dhabi in July and they started processing it in November. They requested documents from us couple of times: Once in December, then January and finally March. We submitted all the required documents and have been waiting since March 2013 without any reply or e-mail from Abu Dhabi. Whenever I check on eCas it just says "in process". I thought it was strange that it's been 5 months without any correspondence. They didn't even ask my husband to renew his medical, which expired in April 28th. Has anyone of you had the same experience? I heard that sometimes it takes a while when they are doing the final background check, but would it take up to 5 months?

Did AUH VO sent you AOR when they received your file? on my ecas Permanent Residence status is "we received application May 29, 2013" and that's it..
maybe they are already on the final stage of checking your file..be positive inshallah next month you'll get good news..

Hi I think its normal for them because my husband his complete application on January 2013 and till now we haven't heard or get anything from them.we sent email and the reply is please allow time for processing.maybe will get our passport request soon to have our PR visa.let's pray and think positive.in God everything is posible especially if we are doing it for good purpose.

Your welcome,that's good,my husband application on ecas no result.we didn't even sure if they got my husband application,we only know they got it because of courier.that's it.I know God is good and all things are possible to him

im planning to send an inquiry to VO AUH as up to now we have'nt received any AOR from them, we dont really know if they received our application..on going 4months after they transferred our file to AUH.

My husband paper is already 7 months but we haven't heard or get anything from them
We sent email but the reply always please allow time for processing. Us we know they got it because of courier but from them we don't know too if the received it

guys! i got update on my case. I received an email frm canadian embassy of AbuDhabi this morning saying they requested for some documents back in march 17, 2013 and I failed to meet the deadline in submitting the documents. however, the email said that they are giving me "a final opportunity" to submit the documents/info and i have to submit them within 30 days from today or else they will reject my application. the following documents/info are requested from me:

- IMM 5549 - Supplementary Information Form.
- Residency Questionnaire.
- Proof that your Canadian Citizen sponsor is currently residing in Canada or will reside
in Canada when you become a permanent resident.
- Proof of communication (photos, letters, E-mails, phone bills), between you and your
sponsor for the past 6 months

I found the IMM 5549 online, i can fill that up and send it.

I do not understand the residency questionnaire.

About the proof if my wife is currently residing in canada or not, how do i provide proof of that? she is currently in canada and is a citizen.

i do not have proof of communication wid my wife in terms of phone bills and letters. my wife came to Qatar in january and we got tons of pics from that trip. i can give them those... as for other communication proofs, we use what'sapp for texting and viber to talk on iphone.. I have archives of both what'sapp and viber messages and i can provide that as proof. will that suffice?

Yes u can fill that,residency questionnaire u can find it in CIC website, try to ask your wife to send u T4 and phone bills or any bills or letter showing her name and address here in Canada.
Your proof of relationship give them the picture,wedding picture,letters from here or emails,

Ask your wife to send u her copy of immigration documents like those letters and here citizenship card.good to know they updated ur status means they are working.
