Hi can anyone tell me after submitting the documents how much time it takes or when can you link your application i mean if i send the documents today when will my assessment starts i do know it takes 55 days but when the first day starts? And when can i see link it online to see what's going on with my file...

Hi Chawais,

For any application, once it reaches the CIC, the processing time starts immediately which includes assessment and it is usually online right away. It is very basic information, such as the date you applied, the date they started processing your application, etc. Just very basic information. Depending on your category, in this case I am guessing you are under the Spouse Sponsorship category, your time is calculated as per Visa Office, which currently shows 14 Months for Abu Dhabi. The process times shown are not necessarily the time it takes. The decision can come earlier or later.

For linking your application to MyCIC, you can find a few answers from members here but since I have been advised not to do this, I can't help you to get it linked.

Can I ask when you applied? Are you the applicant or sponsor? is your Visa Office in Abu Dhabi? What can you share with us?

My wife is sponsoring me and i applied or submitted my application on 5th of August and its bern received by the Cic but i cant link it online i tried but i dont know how to do it or where am wrong....

You'll be able to link it after you have received the sponsor approval.
On the other hand i have been approved as a sponsor and still cant link my application. its probably one of the parameters. i have tried alot of combinations from last 10 days but still to no avail. i am waiting on my GCMS notes which I will get by 20 aug approx. and then try to link it again

The reason I have been advised not to is purely because the Consultant/Representative I am using, suggests he have direct communication with CIC using his experience answering questions, providing details or should any concerns arise. Linking my application online would mean I communicate directly with CIC from there on. Yes it would be great to have this option of seeing a progress report and not being left in the dark, but we can still ask for GCMS Notes for a report. I guess I'm fine with that too.

yes...as long as you have access to your GCMS notes you will be able to know as much as your representative as to what is going on with your file...only 30 days lag time...
