Does Pearson Intrl airport Toronto gives the SIN card right away?

There is NO SIN Card issued nowadays but just a paper with a number. More or less, the procedure is done at the airports only unless there was a technical difficulties in the computer network.

Greetings from Canada!

I finally landed in Toronto on 21 Nov and when the Visa Officer said 'Welcome to Canada', the feeling I experienced cannot be expressed. I landed around 3.15 pm Canada time and was done with the immigration, SIN, baggage collection and customs by 4.45 pm very fast and no problems at all!

I pray and hope that everybody is united with their loved ones really soon!

For those who do not receive their passport within 13 working days, I would suggest to write to ADVO immediately and also request your MP to enquire about the status as ADVO may not respond to your emails but will definitely respond to the MP's enquiry.

Feel free to ask any questions that you may have and if anybody would like to volunteer to update the sheet I could give them access to do so.

Dear all members, please help me for submitting my application for spouse visa.

when i see the Country specific instruction in Information guide for abu dhabi;
on page 06 it says;
08: PHOTOS
Supply eight (8) recent photos for each member of your family and yourself. Follow the instructions
in Appendix B: Photo Specifications.

my question is if i am the only applicant (applying as a spouse visa)then still do i need to supply 08 photos for my each family member?

Do i need to fill the below additional forms as well as i am residing in UAE.?? shall i write them with a Pen as there is no option to type them??

IMMGRATION FORMS
Residency Questionnaire - This form must be completed by the principal applicant.
Residency Questionnaire-FC3 - This form must be completed by the sponsor who is the
child's parent.

my 3rd question is do i fill this below form as well on page 12-15 from information guide;
SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION FORM
To be completed by ALL applicants aged 18 years or older

please help me guys

From the country specific guide (UAE) you need to fill the following forms all by pen.

1. Residency Questionnaire (to be filled in for the the applicant)
2. Residency Questionnaire FC3 (to be filled in for the sponsor) - signed by sponor
3. Supplementary information form which has travel history, education etc (to be filled in for the Applicant).

Thanks Bonty, yes it took time to get out of the jet lag but I'm better now. Just experienced my first snow in Canada yesterday, just light flurries but it got me excited nontheless.

Which airline you took, Jenpin? I am asking because I'll be planning to go by Emirates because of the Internet facility but if any other airlines provide such facility from Dubai then I would think about it.

Btw, how's the weather? People who have lived in Gulf for many years are not used to the Cold weather.

I flew KLM via Amsterdam with a layover of 7 hours and 10 mins. Quite a long option but then waiting for a few hours didnt matter at all, knowing that this would be the last bit of the wait.

I think the Internet option on Emirates is available if it is paid for.

The weather is cold, very windy 2 days ago. Could hear the wind down in the basement and it freaked me out. Trees were swaying, traffic lights were dancing, kinda scary.

It was -2 degrees when I landed, and the first stop I made was to a shopping mall to buy a goose down jacket to keep me warm.

weather in the last 3 days was superb in Ontario, but its going to be much colder later this week. Current PR time for newly landed immigrant is 24 days. we haven't received it yet, though its been 26 days. hope to receive any time.I know Canada post is much reliable and better than aramex for local mails.

As soon as you get your COPR copy and passport stamped by the Officer, the officer directed me to go to Service Canada counter to apply for SIN. And it was done.

Passport sent - 16th nov
Passport recieved at ADVO - 19th nov

Uptill today 6 business days..
According to Tracking number of RWB ADVO just handed over the passport to Aramex today in afternoon..
Cant wait to have my passport back in my hand hopefully with visa stamped on it *In sha Allah*
