I just have a question, my wife is coming to canada soon on dependent visa
So i was wondering what kind of questions can she expect at the immigration desk at the airport?

Well I don't know honestly if that's a right statement. It depends on case to case, might be that the consultant have had a good number of SWOP approved for spouses of students but otherwise I see there is not much difference. But for sure, when you are a student CIC will not expect heavy documentation in-terms of your work and all that as long as you have sufficient balance to tc of your spouse.

Honestly, no one replies for SOWP. All you have to do is wait, wait, and wait...... It's frustrating but that's the fact!. If you have already done Case Specific Enquiry and haven't heard anything then there is nothing much you can do. However, you can try for running a MP inquiry by going to your Local MP. Explain your situation and check if they can help or run an MP inquiry on your file. I know for sure that they will be able to guide you as I had did it for my PR file. Just give it a shot as you never know. Hope this helps

Hello guys!

I am from Norway and my girlfriend has been working in Toronto since January in one of the level 0, A or B positions. I was also there in January and i got a Job offer there in a NOC 1522 (Level C) job. My new employer applied for an LMIA through the TFWP but it came back negative today.

I was wondering if you have any advice for me what to do. I was thinking about applying for an open work permit but the problem is we have been in a long distance relationship for almost 3 years, but we are not married nor do we qualify as common-law since we have never lived together. The only thing we have linking us together in a relationship is the lease for an apartment in Toronto that we got in January, plus we have some pictures of us together and so on. Maybe even some receipts for some travelling we have done together. Do you guys think it would be worth a try to apply for the OWP or would it be a waste of money? Would it help if we got married, (drastic i know) or would that be turned down because of the length of the hypothetical marriage? Any helpful advice you guys have would be appreciated Thanks guys!

Request help. We are PNP PR applicants ,got File number(AOR) last month.
My wife is the Principal applicant got work permit and joined recently.
What are the documents I have to produce for my SOWP.

Following documents are enough?

1 My wife two salary slip
2 PNP nomination expired so Is it required to produce Acknowledge of receipt (PR) mail ?
3 My bank statement( How much amount required?)
4 Marriage certificate(We both together applied for PR so is it required?)

HI ALL,

My husband is in India and am working in Ontario. We got married in May 2016. I got my LMIA and i have closed work permit for 2 years from now. I applied for my husband's SOWP on march 3rd 2017. I have a feeling that it might take some time to get approved.

Can i also apply for a visitor Visa for my husband so that he can come and visit me soon? Is it okay to apply for visitor visa when SOWP is in progress?

Please help!!!
