Hi! I am being sponsored by my husband from Montreal. We are both Filipino by birth. My husband migrated to Canada 10 years ago and he is already a citizen. Just wanted to share my timeline below.

2017 October 15: sent application letter
2017 October 18: CIC confirmed application receipt thru my husband
2017 November 02: received feedback from CIC via email (both sponsor and principal applicants received an update via email) requiring the principal applicant to link the application to an online account.
2017 November 03: application linking performed but failed. My husband called CIC and they identified that the cause of error is the number of applicants stated should be 2 instead of 1 (despite i am the only one being sponsored).
2017 November 04: linking of application to online account is successful
2017 November 04: received request to upload schedule A form and we have uploaded it on the same day. After uploading, a few minutes later, i received another update for medical request that i should be able to do it on or before Dec 02.
2017 November 16: Medical proper

Hi Kirby! ako nareceive ko yung pre-arrival letter ko Nov. 9 hanggang ngayon wala pang PPR, natagalan siguro dahil almost 1 week yung holiday sa manila.

to everyone who have been messaging me asking about sa application namin, super hirap magrespond noon sa mga messages kasi i really dont know what to say and it came to a point na nag break down na talaga ako feeling ko wala na pag asa since under article 34 marriage namin without us knowing, just want to let you all know na we are still hoping for good news. its been 4 months but we are not losing hope. gumawa lang kami ng sworn statement with the help of the immigration consultant, nag pasa kami red ribbon documents namin. nag consult din kami sa lawyer sa pinas binigyan niya kami ng advice proving na marriage under article 34 is legal in the Philippines, and on the statement that we sent story yun ng relationship naming ng husband ko since when we started dating so talagang mahaba pero lahat ng facts nandun basta nilagay lang namin lahat ng totoo. kung ano man maging decision ready kami basta we did our best at sinabi naming lahat ng totoo.



just curious meron ba na dedeny under article 34?

Hi Flynn! Yung marriage namin under article 34 din. I'm also in the process of sponsoring my husband September 2017 applicant.5 years kaming in a relationship. Rush din yung kasal namin. Nagpasa lang ako ng Advisory on Marriage from NSO sinabay ko sa application. Okay naman. Wala na silang hiningi na additional documents. So I think magiging okay ang processing ng papers. Have faith! Nasa Pinas pa ako bro, hindi pa ako umalis as a worker at hinihintay ko pa yung PR ko para maging immigrant visa ko.
