3 years ago , I immigrated from india as plumber to canada ( as PR)through FSW ( point system). But after immigrating to canada I never did plumbers job over here.
Now i want to sponsor my wife from india.
Will the CIC question me -why am i not working as a plumber for 3 years in canada.
1) will this negetively effect my PR status 2) will my wife have difficulty coming to canada 3) will CIC not give me citizenship

Thanking you

Why didn't you work as a plumber? They're in extremely high demand, so you shouldn't have had a problem getting a job.

Can probably guess as to the answer to that question, Mikey, but I won't. I'll just sit back and silently seethe at the probable answer.

actually although technically I was 3 years in canada but I was not present continuously in canada. First year only 9 months out of 12 months , 2nd year 8month and this year 11 months out of 12 months ( remaining time I was in india).
There fore i took what ever factory job I got on my way to earn money.

I will be grateful if you could answer my concern , as I want to bring my family over here without hampering my immigration status .

warm regards

When did you and your wife marry? When did you land in Canada?

You not working a plumbing job should not affect your spousal sponsorship, however I am not an expert on the FSW programs and if a more senior member has better information, I welcome that.

I landed canada on july 2010 as PR through FSW ( point system).

i went to india in december 2012, married my wife legally & socially. came back to canda in March 2013 and working some thing else now at the moment.
I f any body can throw some more light on the issue , i will be thank full & I will accordingly start the sponsorship process.

Thank You

I see no reason at all that you can not begin the sponsorship paperwork to bring your wife to Canada. She does not appear to be an unclaimed family member from when you landed so you shouldn't have any troubles to get this all started.

Good luck!
