How you described it, it is the receipt. The 10 digit number is your receipt number.

General question. How picky will CPC Miss be on a "complete package"? I just realized in reviewing copies of what we sent, that on the back of the required photos, we were supposed to write name of person, date of birth and date photo take. We wrote name of person and date of photo taken. Will the whole package be sent back? :'(

We forgot to do that too for the required photos (i.e. the passport type photos). Nothing happened. It didn't create any problems or delays with the Mississauga processing. It also didn't create any problems or delays with the country office processing (in our case, Buffalo). We were never asked to re-send photos.

Thank you for the response. :)

We had a civil wedding, and in a statement that we sent with our package, we explained to them that we plan to have a church wedding in a year or two after we settle down in Canada, get our own place, jobs, and save enough money...Either way, you need a lot of proof that you are in a real relationship, I worked my butt off with our application, and it payed off in the end. hope that helps

[EDIT] Reading your previous posts on this forum, (ie. stating you don't plan to live with your boyfriend in Canada) I am unsure of what your goal is.. in order to get advice from anybody here its a good idea to state your plan so that someone can help you in the right direction as to what you need, etc.
Do you actually wish to be sponsored by a spouse if you get married, or to go study abroad?

Ironboy,

I didn't put names & dates of birth on the pictures either, just relation to sponsor and month when photo was taken. We've been sending pics covering over 4 year period and it's hard to remember exact date when one was tken unless it's printed on the photograph. Don't worry, it shouldn't be an issue.

Good luck!

Of course if they were digital images, the date is normally in the exif data :)

Hi all,

How does CPC Mississauga send notification of the sponsorship approval. Is this via email or letter to the postal address?
And if postal address, then whose address?sponsor or applicant?

Thanks for your help!

They notify the sponsor, either by post or email.

your wait can still be longer. Just because they requested the passport does not mean you are approved. They are probably doing the background check now. Since medical has been received. Back ground check can take a while and If I say so is the longest part of the whole process. It would all depend on how they check your background and if they request information from former employers or even the authorities it would depend on how fast they respond.

thank you very much ...for the reply ....

what are the things they generally do in background check in a spousal sponsorship....if you have any idea in that
