Oh I've tried several times to sign in to ECAS but without success. My receipt number starts with and R instead of a B. I've filled out my info, my husband's info and always says that there's no file with the info sumbitted.

Then here is what to do :- there is an option below that page at the bottom ; REPORT A PROBLEM , go ahead report with details

Guys, still need help with a question. Please help if you can.

My brother's wife is overseas and I am helping him with the paperwork to have her come here. To the best of my ability, I finished the paperwork and we are ready to send them to the processing office.

The only question that I am not sure about is whether we need to include passport style pictures of her with the application or not. She has to submit to bio metrics in her home country.

Calling the ICC toll free number but can not get through to an agent.

Please help with this question. Thank you

This is the confusing part. In the requirements, as you can see from the wording on the ICC website, no photographs are demanded. I assumed that since she has to undergo biometrics, she will be directed to an Embassy authorized photographer. In the checklist "Document Checklist Spouse (including dependent children of spouse) [IMM 5533] Box 5 of the principal applicant's section asks for 2 photographs. I am not sure if the checklist is a generic list or it is country specific.

on checklist point 5 (if all check lists are the same) they asked for 2 photos. If I were you I'd send them to avoid delays. The biometrics are another matter

As stated directly in the guide: After being validated, the IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 will create barcode pages (see image below). When you’re preparing your application, place these barcode pages right underneath your checklist.

The primary address is where you were living most, which would be the other place during those 7 months.

I should have been more clear, she was a friend at the time and was not engaged to me(anything might have been a stretch). I wanted to check if this would create any issues when I sponsor her PR now so I can provide any details required in LOE.

Hi All,

I am a Canadian PR and getting married in the end of January 2019. My to be wife had applied for TRV in December 2018, showing me as a friend. At the time we were not engaged or anything. Her TRV has already been approved, and We are planning to apply for Outland PR sponsorship in second week of February post our wedding.

Would this create an issue during her PR sponsorship due to TRV?

My husband is from Trinidad and I am from Canada. My application required me to send in the police check at the beginning but wait for the request for the medical to be done. Hopefully there is someone

My timeline is as follows:
Outland sponsorship submitted: July 25 2018
Acknowledgment of receipt: November 15 2018
Approval of sponsorship: November 21 2018
Transfer to Mexico for processing: January 17 2019

Hi I'm also applying to sponsor my husband from st. Vincent which goes through the office in Trinidad. I filled August 13th 2018 and just got my request for medical today. Don't know if this helps.....

No one from CIC will answer here - this is a public forum not run or maintained by CIC or anyone in any official capacity.

The checklist is very clear: under SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS FOR SPONSORED PERSONS number 5 says to send photos.

EDIT: you said the CIC instructions don't mention photos. They are clearly required in the checklist that you yourself posted here as part of the application package.

Timelines are not dependent on when additional things are requested. Average processing times remain 12 months from application receipt, regardless of when other steps are done. So if you filed in August, assume August 2019, maybe a month or two sooner if the case is straightforward and the recent faster processing remains.

Hi Folks,
I have an urgent question to ask. My file is with NDVO, transferred on Dec 11. Current GcKey status is BGC started. However am considering to file TRV for my spouse. She has a job and can manage to get Employment letter including roles and responsibilities.

Now most important what reason should i give for her visit to Canada while i file for TRV?

We manage to have 4L rs in her account also she has house on lease of an year. I will have to be careful about this reason because this may decide rejection. I can ask her employer to write in the letter that she has some exam from her stream after her visit where she must be in India. would that make any difference?

Please help!
