Hello waiting4positive,

Yes you can sponsor your spouse. If any sponsor want to sponsor his wife no minimum income is required. But if you sponsor your brother income is required. For brother you have to show your income.

Take care

hello po..kailangan ko po ba ng PDOS bago ako pumunta ng canada? nasa new zealand kasi ako ngayon. kaka aprove lang ng PR ko. salamat po!

Hi,I think this is a different case. I have not yet received any ppr, but based on my presumptions. The PDOS is required only if your point of exit to canada will be in the philippines but since we both plan to depart in our current country of residence, the immigration officers(NZ for you and for me DOH) will surely look only in our visa sticker other than that. Try to ask VFS in nz and am sure they will try to help you. Our plan also once we have our visa is to have my flight from my country of residence and that is doha to vancouver .

Hello ImAblue,

A husband can sponsor wife and there is no income required. If sponsor do part time job there is no problem at all in Canadian spousal immigrant residence visa.

Regards
Farhana

Yes, I'm aware of that.

My response was to you mentioning sponsoring a brother which has a lot of restrictions and is not as simple as having an income.

Hello waiting4positve,

If you sponsor your wife in that case no income is required. No matter if you do a part time job. But if you want to sponsor your brother it is not deepens on income as ImABlue mention.

Hi! Everyone:
I would like to thank everyone who answered my questions re: Outland spousal sponsorship application. My husband and I recently went a cross the border and we were told that my husband's permanent residency was approved and that we should be receiving a letter fairly soon.
I contacted CIC and was told that we should wait for the letter as it was sent. My husband and I are very excited and looking forward to focusing on our family. It has been a long process. My advise to others who are going thru sponsoring their spouse is to stay positive and be patient.
Thank you once again everyone. You have no idea how helpful your advise has been to us all along.

Hi This is the first time I'm using this forum,I'm Russian and my wife is Canadian we r married for almost 2 years and we got married in Canada, but we leave together for the last 7 years in USA legally working under the visas,we are planning to move to Canada and applied for the sponsorship on July 7th 2016,we submitted all the documents all together,we r going to do it thru Russia bc this seems to be the faster way. My wife is already in Canada and starting her new job from August and I'm currently in USA but going back to Moscow to wait for my approval... Any idea how long it will take them to approve my PR?
Thank you

I got married to my husband last month, together for 3 years total. But for the first 2 years we were long distance and only saw each other once a year.

I'm getting the package together now (I'm the sponsor). I have Skype conversations, Facebook crap, a few photos of us together when visiting. Will that be enough to prove the validity of our relationship during those two years? Most of our communication was in video calls, for the most part...

anyone know the time frame after cic has received medical resuts when one can expect pr visa..
its been almost 5 months and no updates on my wifes file.
does it take long for filipinos to obtain pr visa..

What's your husbands country?

You want more than a few pics. Pics of visits, wedding, honeymoon if any etc.

Take screenshots while on video chat.

Other proofs such as money transfers, passport stamps, boarding passes, and reciepts are good.

I even took a screenshot of my CRA account showing my marital status and wife's name.

Letters of support from family and friends are also useful.

Thanks for answering! He's from America.

I have pics of visiting, the wedding, some screenshots, lease signing, screenshots of Skype conversations, receipt of him paying for the wedding band. I figured I'd get letters from our parents, our friend in the States...maybe from his coworkers who know we're married and that we've been together since he came here last year. We're dumb and don't keep receipts or have money transfers though.

My worry is we don't have enough evidence for the first two years of our relationship. But writing it out now it seems we have a decent amount for now.

Americans have a low threshold for proofs.

You should be fine.
