Hello Everyone:
I'm a Canadian citizen. We (me and my wife, an international student) currently live in BC, but I'm thinking to mention Montreal as a possible destination on her in-land sponsorship application. I understand that we will have to obtain a CSQ in the process. To this end, I'll appreciate if you can address the following questions. Thanks in advance :)
1. How long it might take to get a CSQ from Quebec Immigration?
2. Can she (or us?) claim Quebec residency once she gets CSQ?
3. What are the possible benefits of landing in Quebec e.g., studies/scholarships?
4. Is it allowed to land in another province, in case we change our mind later on?

I know you can choose another province if you change your mind about Quebec, but not sure on the other questions. If noone replies here, try posting here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/quebec-immigration-b55.0/

If you don't have your COPR by then, you'd still need a visitor's visa if you are from a visa-requiring country.

Are you a PR or a citizen? If you are a PR the only requirement is that you live in Canada during her application processing.

Hi guys,

I am planning to start outland application for my spouse.

I have two questions:

1. Do I have to send sponsorship forms and spouse application forms together to Mississauga?

2. Do I need to send my spouse's medical report to Mississauga or later?

Thanks

1. Yes. You send everything together in one package (Sponsor's forms and required documents, applicant's forms and required documents AND evidence of your relationship).

2. The medical should be done upfront if you're submitting an Outland application, but Inland applicants usually wait for CIC to request the medical, because the Inland process is so slow.
