This is false. I sponsored my husband successfully in 3 months and was unemployed when paper work was submitted. No concerns at all because I was able to show how I would support him.

Not true. That's no minimum income to sponsor a spousal.

Ask ko lang po requires ba talaga ng marriage contract for medical sa IOM? Angtagal kasi irelease..

I am lodging my application to sponsor soon, as a Canadian resident living outside Canada (UK), but I will be returning to Canada this October, does anyone know if this will affect my outland application(--or will it still be considered outland because when i filed the application I was filing from outside the country??)
Thanks,

Thanks,

Outland or inland is determined by the forms you fill out, and the address you send it to, not by where you are located.
Since you are sending the application when you are outside of Canada, it must be outland. When you return to Canada, you simply update CIC with your new address, and the processing continues as outland.

When you say resident, do you mean you are a PR sponsoring your spouse? If so, you must reside in Canada in order to do so, so you could not send the application while you are not in Canada.

Hey all, i have question.

What do u think is it good to ask for visitor visa before or after u send family sponsorship - spouse documents to mississauga ? or shoud i wait after my wife gets approved for sponsor and they send to vienna visa office?

Whoops, didnt meant to say resident, not a PR, I am a Canadian citizen. But thanks :)

Hello,
Anyone know what it means if an Outland spousal application has been sent to the visa office abroad but the sponsor has yet to receive sponsor approval?
I called and two agents that told me my application is in Manila but when I ask whether I've been approved as a sponsor or not, they tell me they're not sure. Ecas says my application was received October 17th. Medicals received. That's it.
The agents told me to email the Mississauga office so I'm waiting for a response.
Anyone know what this means? Was I approved or not :S

I think it can only mean one of two things; 1. Your sponsorship was approved. or 2. Not approved, but sent forward to the visa office abroad for continuing with the applicant's PR request/evaluation... (in the case of your having selected this option with fee/payment if your sponsorship failed)

Hi Leon, I find your posts very much helpful. I am planning to sponsor my husband who is currently working in Saudi Arabia. The problem is.. I was unemployed for a year and just started to find a new job so I can put employer's information in the forms needed to be filled. So I am still looking for a job and hopefully get a good one very soon. Will I be refused as a sponsor due to this reason? When do you think is the best time to file the application? Thanks.

Hello Everyone. Please I need some advice and guide.

I am s tudent here in Canada.i will be graduating in April and then will apply for my post graduate work permit (I'm eligible for one year work permit cos my program was just for a year).
My fiancé and I are planning to get married so we can file for my permanent resident card. My questions are

1. She doesn't want to inform her family because they are demanding for an expensive traditional marriage.
We plan to do a quiet wedding without informing Her family. Will CIC demand pictures that has members of her family in it. Her parents are late though just her brother and sister are here in Canada.

2. Should we apply inland or Outland. I'm from Nigeria though and my girl is from Sudan. I'm 26 and she's 21

3. If we apply Outland, should I choose the visa office in the USA, Ottawa VAC to process my PR application since it's closer or should I choose Accra Ghana(responsible for processing application from Nigeria)

4. What are the requirements we need for the application. We have been living together since August 2014.
5. What Type of evidence do we need to show CIC.

Also since I will soon obtain my postgraduate work permit, can I use it to work in Canada while my permanent residence application is in progress?

Your advice will be highly appreciated

Just want to ask if a canadian citizen want to marry to other country and have a problem with child support here in canada, can he allow to be given a legal capacity?

There is no minimum income requirement to sponsor a spouse, nor is the sponsor required to be working. You and your husband must be able to show that you can support yourselves in Canada without welfare.

Your post is really confusing but I'm guessing you are asking if you can sponsor a spouse while owing child support. The answer is no. If you can't support your children, CIC will not believe that you can support a spouse.
