that he did land in point roberts... Now i'm a bit confused.

I don't know how. The CBSA site shows the BC locations with immigration services: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/services/imm-eng.html

And Boundary Bay (the Canadian side) does not list immigration services: http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/do-rb/offices-bureaux/401-eng.html

Why not give them a call and clarify the situation?

Dear Senior members, i really need your help while filling my forms for spouse visa.

IMM0008 Generic application form asks for place of birth City/Town

the problem is my birth certificate says different place of birth and on my passport the city is different. in this case what place of birth should i write in form IMM0008, do i follow birth certificate or passport one??

please help me to avoid any poblem!!

Hopefully you will get a nice officer who will just email you and ask for the updated one to be completed rather than getting the whole thing sent back. I know technically we should all check forms but the process is such a nightmare that a lot of people forget and get caught out.

Hi! To all the november applicants,did you guys used the updated IMM 0008(November 2014) Form in your sent application?

It depends when in November the new form was released. My application got delivered to Mississauga on the 4th of November 2014.

We are all worried. Actually I hav tried to call Cic several times but they are receiving a huge number of calls and I wasn't able to speak to an agent. Hopefully they will not return the app form bcz it realy took time fill the form send it over the seas, time to be delivered, after he signs time to receive the ap back and then plus the time to send it to Mississauga.
Hopefully this form is for december applicants even though it was released on november.

I wouldnt waste your time calling CIC there is nothing they can do at the moment until they start to process your file, you will just have to sit tight and hope for the best.

Totally agreed. You will have to wait until CIC starts processing your file. I would also FILL UP the NEW NOVEMBER FORM and will forward it to CIC as soon as they ask for it. If they don`t ask for the form, there is nothing to loose. Good Luck.

But the thing is that I have to send the new form to my husband over the seas and it takes about a week for him to receive it, so should I just start filling it in and sending it to him, so he can send it back to me. And I'll have it ready if CIC asks for it. Whould this be the best for us?

Yeah best to be prepared so as not to delay your application any further just in case they do ask for it.

My Doubts:
1:I filled out my application in september (using latest august forms) and posted them on Oct 10th 2014.Package was received by cic office in Ontario on Oct 15th. Do they return my package? or it will processed.

2:If CIC ask us to fillout new form and resend it, then signed date will be different in all forms.Is this acceptable?

Please advise.

If you used the latest forms when you sent it, it should be fine. Even CIC isn't so unreasonable as to expect you to use forms that haven't yet been published. Occasionally there are visa officers who mistakenly send back applications that were actually sent before new forms are published. Those cases aren't that common, but when that happens, you have to resubmit with the up-to-date forms whether it was their mistake or yours... So, the answer is that your application will most likely be accepted... unless you are unlucky.

If they ask for the new form, sign it on the date when you fill it out.

guys i knw this is properly not the right thread to post this but m jst wondering if u can read this story and wht u guys think how many chances she has to be approved as a sponsor?
i knw some one who took welfare when she was pregnent 6 months and had come back from back home lived with parents when came back but still took social assistance and then had a baby and still took welafre and then starting receving child benefits as well, after taking social assistance the person jst applied for spousal sponsorship with no income, she basically got off social assistance and sent the applciation after a month. now after she had her baby, when the baby was 5 months old the mother was diagnoesd with tb and has a letter from the dr as well n thats another reason y she could work, she was put on a 6 month medication course to get rid of her td, now after applying for spousal sponsorship sent app end of oct and now went back home for at least 6 months.
