I have not received BIL till now. Can anyone share any timelines by when can we receive Biometrics request?

hello, no update after those GHOST updates in January. getting really frustrated. It's been 26 months since we applied, still on BGC. We did try to apply for tourist visa in November last year and still waiting.

Hi everyone. I am still waiting for my PR, applied in October 2024. My case is under CSS since March 2025. I do have a valid tourist Visa till 2028. We cirrently live abroad together, both PA and Sponsor.
I have some questions
Can we move to Canada already without waiting for the PR to be issued?
I was planing to apply for the OWP, but I am hearing that it will be linked to my security screening and paused till that's done, which makes it useless. Is that true? Anyone who did this before? any advise?
Also asuming I have moved to Canada on my tourist visa, I will be allowed to stay 180 days in a year, is there a way to extend it?
I have seen on the websites that there are some options, but I couldn't figure out if my extension request will also be linked to my security screening or no?
We are just looking for an option to move there already, any advice?

Why has application taken unusually long time?
Do you have military or police work experience?
As I said it is under comprehensive security screening, for a reason that is beyond my understanding.
But I was mostly interested if there can be problems if we visit and stay there long term renewing visitors records?
Generally speaking IRCC approves as a matter of course visitor records/visitor extensions for those with family/spouse sponsorships in process.
Thank you very much for the answer. But the OWP will most probably get stuck in the same security screening? I want to understand if I will be able to work at all or no?
I do not know about the OWP/security screening issue. All i have heard is that in the best cases, OWP can take several months, so it's questionable to rely upon ability to work while waiting.
