Good morning,
I was wondering, once you have received the COPR, and have your passport back with the attached visa, you are eligible to travel? Received it back late last week, but the PR Tracker has not said anything about a final decision being completed or anything like that.

As far as I can tell, the visa attached in the passport is the travel document required, and the COPR paper gets signed by the CBSA officer when landing and actually passing thru immigration.

If this is correct please let me know.

Thank you
All correct. Ignore the tracker after this point, nothing more relevant there.

@CanadianAviator I would love to hear your timeline. I am a May 30 applicant, so still waiting on AOR.
September 24th 2024- application sent to IRCC, everything was paid at that time, to avoid any delays
October 20-25 2024- AOR and sponsorship approval
November 10th 2024 - biometrics request, biometrics completed around November 25th 2024
December 7th 2024 - medical request, and completed December 19th 2024
It was quiet for almost 100 days, at which point the eligibility changed from 'not started' to 'in progress'
May 18th 2025 - Eligibility and background verification updated to completed on the same day around
May 28th 2025 - Received application for pre arrival services
May 30th 2025 - COPR updated with file number etc.
June 6th 2025 - passport and photo request to send in to processing centre.
June 19th 2025 - Passport and COPR returned.

And now my wife is eligible to travel to Canada. It was a lengthy process and one I'm glad I won't have to go thru again.
The time between updates during the background and eligibility was ridiculous, definitely tested our patience.

If you have any further questions please let me know
