Spousal sponsorship

Hi guys,

I linked my PR application to gckey 2 weeks ago and it's still stuck on "pending registration". I've tried contacting CIC via the webform multiple times about it and they keep sending me generic replies.

I linked my OWP a few days after the PR applications and that one went from pending registration to submitted after i refreshed the page.

Does anyone know how i can fix this issue ?

I finally can see the status of my application online but I haven't been able to link my application to my account. I've tried many different ways and so far no success. Is there a trick to it?

   I have applied for spousal PR for my wife (presently in India) time line application received 10th August 2018 at CIC Canada office.
   Sponsor eligibility passed Sep 2018
   Medical passed 5th Nov 2018. File transfer to NDVO in Jan 2019. Start prcsing file in ND 24 January 2019
   Criminality checks passed in Mar 2019. Now my Local MP chckd with CIC they informed that they checkingg applicants eligibility. Anyone kws how much more time they would take and whts the next step is . .. thank you

My husband applied for spousal PR (Bangladesh) for me August 2018, CIC accepted my files in September 2018. In December 27,2018 they sent my biometric instruction. Then they started my processing from 31 January 2019. 26th February 2019 they sent my medical instruction. This 7th March, they confirmed me that they received my medical, after that there is no update. Can you tell me how long shall I wait?

This 7th March, they confirmed me that they received my medical, after that there is no update. Can you tell me how long shall I wait?

The process takes approximately 12 months. It could be more or less. U applied in September which means you still have 5 more months. The key is to remain patient.

Hi all, I've submitted the spousal sponsorship visa and open work permit a few weeks ago and have been trying to link it to my GcKey account. I haven't received any email or letter with an application number yet, does that mean I shouldn't be able to link either of them yet?

Yep u gotta wait until they send u AOR!!!

That’s right. You need to receive an application number in order to link it. It’s proabbly too early at this moment.

Can anyone help please?

I am Dec application and I have a rep. I did check my app status by using ECSA once, but I’m worried to check it again because I have a rep! Do you guys think should I be fine to check it regularly? Or I have to let my rep know and then check it? Sorry guys I know my question is so confusing, but I’m so stressed that I don’t know what’s going on with my application! My husband did his medical on Feb 20, and since then we haven’t heard anything!

So I am applying under family class spousal visa Outland, I have everything required for the application, all the forms, pics, documents, additional documents. However I’m not sure how to send the application, I mean I know the address where to send it, but how do you guys pack your application???

And are you supposed to have two different checklist one for sponsor and one for applicant??

Some forums I read mentioned that there are two checklists, is that the case?? Because I can only see one checklist form on CIC website.

If you have any knowledge regarding my questions please answer, thank you in advance.

Ah okay, and is there a seperate application number for both the spousal sponsorship and for the open work permit?

Also, how long typically till these application numbers are received? I assume a few weeks?

When my wife received the medical request, we realized we made a mistake on the IMM008 application for her passport #. Added a extra #, as typo. How can we update them? Please advise. Thanks,
