Some immigration lawyer says that she need to apply for a new sponsorship application and it would take from 24 to 28 months.

if your wife is a us citizen, and assuming she has a straightforward application, it will not take 24-28 months to process the application. \

your attorney may be quoting the posted times for the LA visa office. Only applications requiring interviews are processed in LA, and the applications are taking closer to 15-16 months to process there. A majority of applicants do NOT require interviews. the common reasons for an interview seem to be non-accompanying dependant issues, criminal issues, or the applicant is a us visa holder, not citizen.

US applications are processed in Ottawa and current applicants with straightforward applications are getting processed in 3-7 months TOTAL.

Hello friends,

Can someone please advise what are the different options to bring Spouse to Canada from India immediately after marriage ? I can think of may be getting an admission in School or Apply for visitor visa, but not sure about expense for each category, processing time and chances to get visa, so if experts can share their view, I will appreciate your help !

I am Permanent resident of Canada since September 2013 and currently working as an Permanent full time Accountant for Saskatchewan based well reputed company. I am MBA from education background and have annual income close to CAD 48,000.

Thank you !

What type of PC/Laptop do you have?

Apple: I cannot assist

Microsoft: Clear your cache ctrl+shift+Del or search for CMD and type in the black box ipconfig/flushdns then ipconfig/release then again ipconfig/renew.

Disable add ons, use chrome or Firefox. If this doesn't work PM me for further assistance. Good luck

Can any one give any update about the processing time of CIC Inland Sponsorship application. According to site it will take 13 months to reach first stage approval but they still processing 31 july 2013 application from last few months.
Any one got any first stage approval can share his processing time to reach at this stage. You information highly appreciated.

Thanks

I'm canadian citizen sponsoring my spouse. I'm employed so I'm submitting my option C printout as well as my employment letter. Do I still have to print out 12 months of bank statements to show the little bit of interest I earn in my bank account?
Thank you.

no, the checklist clearly states 12 months of paystubs is ONLY needed IF an Option C form is unavailable. An option c and an employment letter is all that is required if it's available.

what is the difference between "Decision Made" and "In Process" when you check your applicationstatus online

In Process: CIC is deciding about the application
Decision Made: CIC has decided whether to approve or deny the application

Hey everyone,

So with our application, an Option C wasn't sent as my wife hadn't filed her taxes for last year. We put an explanation letter, explaining that we would submit it later with my wife stating reasons for the delay. I got an email yesterday asking for the Option C and giving a month for us to get the form in. I was a little stressed as my wife has been meaning to get round to it and looking at the timeline. However, my wife got an email this morning saying she has been approved as a sponsor. I'm pleased by this, but confused by the request for the paperwork and then the email. Do people think we should still submit an Option C?

Also, does anyone know how to check if my current application has been dealt with as Outland? I made a big note on the envelope requesting this, but would like to know as to where it could be identified. The reference to my case still being in Mississuaga after my wife being approved worries me slightly.

Thanks in advance!

I would still send the Option C printout. If your wife doesn't have one for last year (2013), just order the latest one you have (2012), it usually takes about a week to receive.
