Ideas for applicants who don't have very many pictures with their spouses:

Skype, Facetime is the new 'meet-up' . So every time you meet virtually, make sure to take a screen cap, where CIC officers can see you and your spouse clearly (change of clothes/scenery, celebrating special occasions i.e. birthdays, anniversary etc).

- Make up a sign that says 'Happy Anniversary!' and hold it up while your spouse is showing emotions (happy, smiling, emotional, etc) and grab a screen cap.

- For birthdays, hold up a cup cake with a candle and grab a screen cap.

- Early morning Facetimes, without make-up with messy hair in bed, while spouse is out grocery shopping (time zone difference).

Try to grab as many candid and raw pictures to tell a story. Hope this helps!

Hello everyone. Can you please suggest me the best way to compile and send my documents.

I need to submit proof of communication, and pictures from our ruksati and outings togther.
The mode of communication we use is facebook messenger and whatsapp. Is there a way i can access entire call log history? What's the best way to copy and save all messages? Also, how should I be sending the documents via email or postal service? I have to submit the documents within 35 days. Please suggest me the best way to get this done. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you everyone.

Effective July 5, 2016, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has put special measures in place to minimize the impact on the processing of applications in the event of an interruption in Canada Post Corporation mail services. This affects the use of all mail services across Canada (first class mail, Xpresspost, Priority courier, Registered Mail) and Canada Post receiving agent locations.

IRCC will hold all non-urgent documents normally sent by mail until IRCC resumes using Canada Post services to avoid the risk of it not being processed by Canada Post in the event of a postal service disruption. Certain IRCC authorized cheques (such as refunds and resettlement support payments) will not be held and will be sent by courier or through other arrangements, as available.

If possible, you should apply online and upload electronic copies of documents instead of submitting paper applications.

When IRCC resumes using Canada Post services, we will process paper applications received during the special measures on a “first in, first out” basis. We will use the postage stamp data to set up this processing order.

All statutory and legislative requirements remain in effect. In most cases, deadlines will not be extended because of this interruption to mail services.

Our online application system and communication tools are available at all times before, during and after an interruption to mail services.

Whatsapp:
Please follow these steps:
Open the chat you wish to export.
Tap More > info or group info.
Tap More > email chat history.

Facebook
Follow these steps:
1. Go to 'Account Settings'
2. Click on 'Download a copy of your Facebook data' from bottom of General section
3. Then click 'Start My Archive' -- It may take a little while for gather your photos, wall posts, messages, and other information. (Usually 20 to 60 minutes)
4. Once Archive generated Download it.
5. Extract and open 'index.html' from downloaded folder
6. Now you can see 'Messages' on bottom of the page, click it.

Call Logs
Backup your iPhone by clicking the Backup icon at the top-right corner. Step 3. Choose your iPhone backup > Click Call History item > Select Call History by names > Click To Computer button at top-right menu bar to export selected call logs to computer, you can choose to save the history as HTML or TXT formats.

You can also screen cap your call logs and send them as images.

Send your documents electronically via case specific https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx unless otherwise directed.

I submitted my file last week and it was received by CPC Mississauga on June 28, 2016 (as per Canada Post).

Salam. everyone, how long does it take for CIC to acknowledge your file and send you the first email with your UCI/application number, before SA?

I submitted my file last week and it was received by CPC Mississauga on June 28, 2016 (as per Canada Post).

It varies but you should be expecting acknowledgement in 30-35 days and then for SA you are looking between 45 to 60 days.

we probably won't see any november applicants getting dm/ppr until the end of july. i think december applicants may not see any doc requests until the first week of august.
