most of the applicants who applied before or in oct 2015 have already got the visas or passport requests for stamping the visa. This time frame is going on right now in the past when the applications used to process in ISlamabad it was more then this but right now all the applications are processed in London. In near future we will see files being processed in 6-7 months because they have increased the family class budget last month and also increased the number of files from 48000 to 62000 to be processed in an year. You have to send the file to Mississauga through post so take all the documents of your wife with you to canada and then send the file from there.

New delhi visa office take 19 months to process application. Pakistani VO is efficient

Visa office in islamabad is not processing spousal applications anymore. London visa office is processing pakistani citizens applications now, just like dehli is processing afghan applications. Dehli is taking less then a year to process applications. Check the dehli spreadsheet.

Visa office in islamabad is not processing spousal applications anymore. London visa office is processing pakistani citizens applications now, just like dehli is processing afghan applications. Dehli is taking less then a year to process applications. Check the dehli spreadsheet.

Im a April 2016 applicant and my file is been transferred to LVO as of June 13,2016 and is under process . Im a canadian citizen sponsoring my wife from Pakistan with full wedding and engagement everything done . Do you have any idea brother when is the earliest i can see decision made on my profile just an idea . Will my application be a part of back log? or do i have to wait for November and Decemeber applicants to be get done and then they gonna touch my file. I heard they are processing both Back log and new applicants . I dont know how true is that .

We can't really predict how CIC is going to tackle the issue. All we can say from the trend, is that it take about 8.5 months for the applications to get to decision made. On Friday, June 29th, we saw 5+ applicants receive a decision on their applications. They are trying to expedite the processing but again, it's anyone's guess.

Salam,

Any tips for someone immigrating for the first time to Canada. What kind of questions can the immigration officer ask at the airport? My wife is being sponsored and shes soon travelling to Toronto. What kind of information should I forward to her for smooth transition thru airport? Also, what about declaring the assets, when should she inform the officer about the monetary value of items she is bringing and will be bringing later to avoid customs and taxes.

Any kind of information would be helpful and really appreciated.
