You can expect something between sept-dec.

huhhhh? why??? :o

she's a november 2015 applicant, and with the current trend of 8 months to DM, i believe she might be done by the end of july if there's no interview and no more than 1 doc request. add another month for COPR and she'll be ready to land by end of august.

yes he will in sha allah.

if they need anything from you or your husband, they may be sending you an email around the 3rd or 4th week of june (+/- 1 week), so keep an eye on your emails and send them whatever they ask for so they can finish quicker.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Thank you so much for the info.... But i would like to ask u the time span has changed to 27 months now so that doesn't affect our case, right? and also the time you guys say is that time like a guess or is that time more accurate...?

the timeline is always changing, so don't pay any attention to it. last year i believe it was 48 months, then it briefly changed to 17 months, and now it's back to 24 months. meanwhile the actual time they take to process applications has stayed the same at an average of 8-10 months.

the reason they have a posted timeline is to prevent MPs from interfering and to protect themselves from lawsuits.

Re: SPOUSAL Sponsorship PAKISTAN @ London Visa Office

Have your husband send a CSE notifying the office that his contact information has changed: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx He should use his UCI number (given in the AOR email) and/or the application file number (given in both the AOR/SA emails).

How do we know that our eas status is in process since when?

First, the "permanent residence application status" side will change to "in process". This will not have a date attached to it yet. The next step is when you click on it for details you will see a new line that says "We started processing your application on [insert date here]" You can log into eCAS with the sponsor's information + UCI (found on AOR and SA emails/letters) OR the sponsor's information + file number (should be found on all communication by the CIC) OR the principal applicant's information + file number. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/my_application/status.asp

My SA says that my file is sent to ottawa for further processing
Whereas it should be sent to lvO

So is it really sent to ottawa or lvo?

It's really Ottawa. A lot of applicants from other countries besides the US have been forwarded to Ottawa lately. Congratulations! You will likely have a much faster processing time than you would have otherwise from LVO.

CIC has always forwarded applications to other VOs than expected to reduce backlogs (like when they started processing Pakistani applicants in London). It's unclear why they are doing this with Ottawa yet. It might be partially to help reduce other offices' backlogs and they also might be choosing cases that they expect to be straight-forward (likely no interview).
