Really?! It's been almost a year. Did u check with VO or ur MP? Why is it taking so long, they say usually around 6 months...

GMZ applied in Nov 2014 not the background checks. LVO is not processing 2014 applications any faster. 2015 applicants are very lucky MAsha Allah.

Need help. I just got PPR but im already in Canada on visitor visa. PPR is only valid if im in Pakistan. how can I inform London office that im in Canada as in ppr lette there is no email were I can contact in case im not in Pakistan.

You will need to send an email to London via case specific inquiry. They will ask you to send your passport to Ottawa. Good luck. Or you can contact Ottawa as well.

Who gets the PPR request from CIC, Sponsor or the Principal Applicant? and is it in Email or by Mail?

The principal applicant does for sure. Sometimes they both get it.
It's an email ofc.

Hi Senior Members,

Need some expert advise. We submitted our application in early 2014, and have been waiting patiently for our file to be processed. Almost 21 months have passed by and we have not received any re-medical or additional document request. GCMS notes just state that the file is in Active Processing. Need to clarify two things:

1) We have been told recently that our file is in Background Verification Checks since 25th February 2015. Does this process usually takes more then 8 months ?? Is it normal ?? What is it that we can do to get this resolved, so our file goes to the next steps of the process.

2) Is there any person we can write to regarding our case, as we believe this Background check is taking way too long. Our file has been in Background checks since last 8 month & there are applicants in 2015 with files completed and COPR granted with in 7 months.

Your help and guidance in this matter will be really appreciated.

My wife's case in currently in process in ECAS.
Remedical- Completed August 10, 2015
Additional Photos requested of Rukhsati + Renewed Passport copy : sent August 9, 2014.
Medical results have been received.

I received my original birth certificate along with my wife's birth certificate today in the mail.

Its been 2 months+ since new remedical. How much longer do you think it will be for PPR1 inshallah. I ordered notes early last week, MP was supposed to provide update by lost his seat and no call being answered.


Please help.
