I did case specific enquiry and they replied that my application is awaiting for initial review. And the person who replied me is NXR.
My ecase shows in process from 7 Nov.
Any one have info about NXR .. Is he a visa officer?

I had a question i have submit my wife passport to Islamabad Visa office, But she's from Karachi.
I submit her passport on 12th jan 2016, can somebody tell me how long does it take to get the Passport back. Or they will deliver to Karachi Visa Office.

I dont understand CIC criteria... how come people who applied later are getting PRR before the people who've been waiting for a year or more than a year? Shouldn't it be First Come First Serve Basis?

Thanks GOD...
I recited CSQ exactly in 30 days on 19th January. ..
They asked me for more proofs and documents which I emailed them as well as posted them too...
Requested docs we're delivered on 8th December we'll within their 30 days deadline...
CSQ wasn't applied at that time...I applied it on 3rd December
Now quebec authorities have also informed CIC about the issuance of my Csq...
Anyone has any idea how long they will take now to further review my application and moreover my medical is expired too...
So what will be next???

Hey,

Don't think it necessarily works that way. It differs case to case, availability of immigration officers reviewing cases etc. There are 2015 cases of people (Pakistani) in this forum that have reached the PPR stage in less than 4 months, and a whole host of those that have reached that stage in less than 9 months. At the same time there are those who have been waiting for well over a year and still havent reached the DM stage. Obviously, the relative strength of the case has a massive impact on the timeframe, but i do also feel that there is a certain mystery about the whole process too, which I guess you could call "luck" =)

Anyways, best of luck and I pray that your case reaches a positive conclusion ASAP. =)

I paid 1100$ fee at the beginning do I need to pay 490$ fee more for permanent residency card...I am a quebec applicant....

Well i can understand the strength of the case part. But if the availability of the officers changes from time to time, they should still at least work on the apps submitted earlier. Like in my case, as per my notes, they haven't started working on a single Assessment criteria, all three of them still shows Not Started, makes me wonder that my file has just been put at the bottom of the pile and all the new applicants file at the top are being looked at before the rest...

CIC should show more visibility into their operations as a whole because this is our tax money in addition to the fee we pay for sponsorship. Current operating way leads to show that their operational effectiveness is poor and needs a great deal of improvement.

I agree with you 100%. The fact that it has been a while since your case was filed, and they havent yet started working on the assessment in earnest is pretty mind-boggling. Looking for some input on ordering notes...After how long since your status changed into 'In Process' would be the best time to order notes? Is it too early given mine changed into IP just 2 weeks ago?

I received my notes end of December, that's basically 7 months exactly after filing the application.

I was contemplating visiting MP but thought of waiting for at lease a year after filing as I dont want to be perceived as a pushy person in front of these Visa officers, after all they control the fate of my sponsorship and i dont want it to be jeopardized.

Also, I will be mailing additional documents voluntarily of my recent visit to Pakistan. Hoping that might get CIC to re-visit my app.
