Hi,
I am new to this forum, so would like some update on the spousal sponsorship processing times. I recently got mareied in August, 2016 and applying for my wife's sponsorship next week. On the CIC website, it says 24 months to process via London Visa Office? But I have heard it takes less time in actual these days. Is that true or does it still take 24 mo ths on average?

Could someone please shed light on the processing times? I would really appreciate it. Thank you all.

Have a look at the can-pak spreadsheet in my signature to look at the processing time statistics. This spreadsheet is made by members of the forum and only includes the date provided by members, and not data of all applications sent to the LVO.

Assalaam Alaikum All,

This question is directed to the Admin, I think people are confusing "Sponsor Approval" with "Acknowledgement of receipt", because I see people in the sheet where they're written they were approved in 7 days.. Which I think is quite impossible. UNLESS "AOR" is Sponsor approval, which I don't think it is

E.g. user "Ztauhidi" has posted that he received his approval in 7 days.

If we have bad data then that messes with the overall numbers . Just thought I'd mention this as I received the AOR today but not the spousal approval.

I think it can happen pretty quick. I received the acknowledgement of receipt 9 days after the office received my application. And then two days after the acknowledgement, I received sponsorship approval.

Here's the timeline for easier reference:

Sep 26 - application received in Mississauga, as per DHL tracking information
Oct 5 - Acknowledgement of application receipt (email from Mississauga, saying application has been received)
Oct 7 - Sponsorship approval , and the file sent to LVO (email from Mississauga, saying sponsorship is approved and file has been transferred to LVO)

Couple questions:

1) I'm not super clear on the consent form to order GCMS. I'm sponsor and ordering notes. Do I need my wife's signature in section B?
2) 'Date Submitted' on the linked application on MyCIC account page shows as the date I linked the application (which is not the actual application submission date). Is this normal?

1) Yes, you do.
2) That is normal (it would show sometime in July 2016 or after...since that's when the MyCIC system was introduced)

That's not the right question.

You should ask what are LVO working hours for PK applicants? (Since LVO handles other countries too)

Lately, I would say 1/2 hour day tay hain PK files ko bus. ziada mood ho to 1hr bas. Because it December its probably now 15 min of the day...
