Sponsorship of all the October applicants was approved in December. LVO received only 93 files in December maybe that's why they got DM and PPR so early?

I don't believe these numbers! The wait times and numbers have clearly regressed, at least on the spousal sponsorship side.

Does anyone know how Pakistani PR applicants from other categories are faring? Could it be that LVO took a backseat on spousal applications and processed more economic/refugee/investor class applicants? There's absolutely no other way to explain this!

it's all on their open data portal. from what i see, PR admissions for spousal apps is the highest among all categories for both quarters.

and i don't know if we're correct in saying that processing times have regressed. they temporarily progressed during election time, and that carried on for a bit until april/may. otherwise, london's average processing time has always been 11-12 since they took over from islamabad. if anything, it looks to me like they're taking a step backward and going back to their historical processing time of 11-12 months.

there was an immigration and citizenship townhall in brampton this past Wednesday. DAMNIT! i wish i had known about that. i had questions for mccallum. anyway, i'm trying to find notes for what they discussed during the meeting. this is all i've found so far:

“The single-most important commitment we made in the election campaign was to substantially reduce the processing time for the families,” the minister said. “We’re working right now to reduce the inventory of people waiting. We will be announcing a new system in the fall which will substantially reduce the processing time for family unification.”

exactly what you suggested earlier: pay a higher fee for faster processing, or a lower fee for slower processing.

Dehli visa office is so fast. Look at the timeline of one of the app submitted from Dehli.

Should I add that the Delhi office sees 25% fraud cases on average. So if 1000 applications were submitted, 250 of them were fake cases. So the whole issue of offices taking more time for "background checks" is negated when we see that an office which is notorious for fake cases processes applications in this given time frame (on average).
