where is your local office? and how long after DM did you get the landing interview letter?

Hello everyone,

I am in-land application and I am in Canada. My Open Work Permit is valid until December 31, 2019, but my Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) is expired. During PR processing time, Can I stay in Canada legally with valid Open Work Permit but expired Visa? OR I have to apply for a new Temporary Resident Visa?

Please advise, and Thank you!

Visa is for travelling only. Permit is what allow you to remain in Canada legally.

Nov. 14 applicant here. I just found that the status of both my partner and I on ECAS changed to "Decision Made", but the CIC page still shows "Your application is in progress...". I haven't received any DM letter.

Decision made on you eligibility. Your application will be in progress until after you have completed the landing interview.

July 22, 2017 applicant here. Just an hour ago got my golden letter for the landing interview, named as “Event scheduled”. My interview is in 2 weeks. What a relief!!!!!

Hi everyone.

I am Sept 26th applicant.

So my MP called ircc for me to know what's going on as I am now just passed 12months and their answer was that my file was last updated August 23rd and it can take up to 4months to get landing appointment........... So they said if I don't have anything after December we can call them again.

I told my MP that's absolutely not what they told me one day they said it was approved since august (I do have DM on ecas since beginning of August) and usually it takes 2weeks to 1month to receive the landing appointment. But she said there's nothing more we can do, just to wait.

Our fingerprints were sent by RCMP on 19th and CIC havent received it yet. I am just so worried as We need to submit it by OCt 17.

Anyone knows how long it takes to reach to vancouver from toronto by regular post

Hi all, I'm a May 2018 applicant and was just wondering if any of the 2017 inland applicants on this thread traveled outside of the Canada whilst their application was in process? Can you share you experiences with me and the steps that you took? Is it OK for us to travel for short periods e.g. 3 weeks?

Nothing they were thinking about some missing documents but all the documents were in the file and she said i will hear from them soon, it’s depend on Vancouver office how bad workload they have right now. Also they are reviewing illegibility right at the moment
