Do you know why you are over the one-year mark? Have you requested your notes?
As far as I know, background check is still in progress. I haven't bothered ordering my notes as my application is pretty straight forward aside of me being out of status. I did call and they only said my file had been transferred to my local office.
I am also giving them a bit more time before I contact a MP.

Yeah PCC. but I dont know why its too late. I am just worried it will make the time is longer
Is it common for them to ask for RCMP fingerprints? I mean, they do not ask that at the early stage.. so why asking about it now.. i got the request today, but at least it came along with the AIP.. still says no decision will be made until we receive the requested documents.. i.e. fingerprints..

cheers! :)

Is anyone else that has travelled to multiple countries having extremely long delays with the security check? Feb 2017 applicant here, AIP on July 5 2018 and still waiting for a DM. According to the MP's office who is helping me, it's been in the final security checks since June (the MP's office was told this by CIC, none of my accounts have been updated since around April...)

I don't have a criminal record but I travelled through Europe twice for around 10 months each time and visited about 10 countries, just wondering if anyone else has had similar delays. Very frustrating to see December 2017 applicants getting DM when i'm 18 months in processing and CIC won't even respond to me any more...

Congratulation! I just received landing letter via email and the landing will be at CIC Montreal. Do I need to making an appointment with them before I go?

Thanks in advanced for your help!

Oct 11 applicant, haven't heard anything for 3.5 months after the medicals. I just noticed on Mycic account, the current status of application changed from "submitted" to "application/profile updated", but when i click the "check full application status", there is nothing new: background check is still processing, eligibility hasn't started yet. Does that change mean anything? Anyone experiences the same thing?

The letter should specify how to proceed, but currently there is a pilot project in Montreal in which you just show up within working hours without any appointment; you just need to have that letter in hands (along with the documents listed on that letter).
