Did you received AIP? If yes when
When did you receive Sponsor approval?
Good Luck!
Thank you and Congratulations!
I have not received AIP. The reason is I lived in a third country about 1 yr. CIC asked me to provide police certificate in March. I submitted in March.
Right now they said the one I provided is not right one. Long story short, I told CIC I'm not able to provide the one they want. Now I'm just waiting what they gonna reply to me. Hopefully good news.

HO LA LA! So we got the "Landing letter" on August 6 while we were on our vacation.

The title of the email is "Appointment for permanent residence".

Dear Sir/Madam,

We are ready to issue your Confirmation of Permanent Residence (CoPR).

Your CoPR is only valid until 2019/04/14. You must meet with an Immigration officer on or before this date.

Your CoPR has been given the maximum validity and cannot be extended for any reason.

In order to finalize your permanent residence, you may now present yourself to the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) office listed below:
.......

So they give me 8 months to plan to go to Montreal office in stead of 6 months like someone told us here. Maybe CIC have changed the terms?

My husband just off 1 week to have a trip with me so we might go to Montreal on Aug 17th - ohhh which means exactly 1 year since I applied for hehe

Hi,

Today we had our landing interview!
The appointment was at 10am and we got there for 9.30am. We barely sat
in the waiting room when we were called up. All we were asked for was photo ID,
proof of address, and the interview letter. Then I was asked if I'd ever been convicted
of a crime, when I first arrived in Canada and when the last time I entered Canada was.
After that is was done, she signed the permenant resident form and I did. She said it would
be 8/10 weeks for the permenant resident card to arrive.

We went straight to Service Canada afterwards to get a new SIN number.

Just to say, we never recieved an email saying DM. ECAS changed to say it and the next
day an interview letter arrived. So you may not even get a DM email!

Good luck to everyone!!

Application Sent: 7th September
AOR: 1st Ntovember
Medicals: 1st May
Extra Documents Requested: 24th July
AIP: 1st August
SA: 1st August
ECAS change to DM: 2nd September
Interview Letter: August 3rd
LANDED: 9th August
Congrats. When you say the interview letter arrived, was it an email or a letter by post?

My husband received a Landing Interview Letter today for August 17 in Etobicoke. The application was received by CPC on October 16, 2017.

Does anyone know do they allow to keep visa or they annul it? My husband is supposed to go to USA on August 27.

Lots of people here said that MyCIC status will not change anything until we go to Montreal office (after receiving a landing letter, or in my case is Appointment letter"), then the status will be changed to "Approved"!

Last week, when I called to toll free number, they told me that it takes maximum 6 weeks for Montreal office to work out for a landing letter/ appointment letter since applicants receive a DM letter. For my case, it took more than 2 weeks.

hi all,

we applied for family class PR in December, my partner is a sponsor. However, I renewed my passport in June 2018( I got the new one, but kept the old one -invalid- with me as my valid student permit is in it). Do I need to update my application with new passport details, and how to do that? thank you!

Hi, Guys,
Hello, @sylvain1 ,

Just saw this in ECAS: "We started processing PA's application on July 25, 2018."

Would you know how long this would take again? It feels forever to get done. Hehe.

Thanks!
As far as I remember, you have DM on both the sponsor and the PA side, right?
If so, you're really just waiting for your landing letter. It should come very soon. I wouldn't worry about other lines in ecas.
And July 25th... isn't the date you got SA and AIP?

As soon as a PR lands, all work/study permit, all Canadian visas, they all become void.

The medical exam is valid for a year only, that's why you have to land before your medical exam expires. The 6 months, if I'm not wrong, is for Outland applications.

Not much longer for sure. The cic account will not update until after the landing is completed. You're now waiting for your landing invitation letter (and DM letter that may or may not come).

Yes it's better to update CIC. You can scan your data page and upload it using the case specific enquiry form: https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx
