Hi, my CL spouse are about to apply for my PR status with OWP. My question revolves around my visitor status. My visa expires today, I've mailed my visitor extension application in. I know this means I have implied status. How do I put this on my application? I'd hate for my OWP to be denied because of status. If it is denied... once I get my new visitor record can I reapply?

On this, my wife is my sponsor and has not once received any emails or notifications, only I have. When I tried to ask why she had not received anything and also to please email her any previous emails meant for the sponsor, they said she was not my representative? but that wasn't what i asked anyway.. very frustrating
"A representative is someone who conducts business with CIC for you and with your permission. They may be a family member, friend, citizenship, immigration consultant, lawyer, or other. The person you appoint may fill out your forms, submit your application or talk to CIC about your file."
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/multimedia/video/representative/representative.asp

I think when you filled the form, you ticked on "Representative" and filled her information on that part... Anyway, I think you can change the information by working on this link:
https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx?_ga=2.73850769.2030923985.1509385070-1186146095.1493909998
Tell them that you don't use representative and that your wife is also your sponsor.
Best of luck guys!

I'm in similar situation, received Feb 2017, same status. Medical was done/passed in July. Have you been asked for police check? As I have not... No updates since July
Same here, wish they had more people so it would get done faster. Sent in the police check initially so I hope there is nothing else they need.

Hi everyone!

I was so excited this morning when I got my AOR. Unfortunately that didnt last long. I was unable to link my application online.

I have looked in this forum and tried other people's suggestions:
- number of applicants 2
- UCI and Application number
-UCI and surname
- application number and surname.

Any other things I could try?

Thanks in advance for the help!
I remember it took a few days until I was able to link. I kept trying everyday and it kept locking me out for 24 hours. Eventually it just worked, I know it was the same combination that I've used on previous attempts. It almost felt like they had to get it ready on their side first. Keep trying and hopefully it will work soon. Best of luck!!!!

Hi, inland spousal sponsorship 2017-

what does medical request mean?

case is likely approved?
It means the CIC is asking you to undergo a medical evaluation by a Doctor that is designated by them. They want to make sure you are not a medical risk to people living in Canada or financial burden to the Canadian health care system. Some family members such as spouses of Canadian citizens are exempt from the financial burden to the Canadian health care system criteria. Unfortunately it is impossible to answer the question whether your case will be approved based on the information you've provided.

Has anyone got their OWP recently?
I received mine today (the email, not the actual permit in the mail, this should come next week).
They received my application September 5th and AOR was October 30th

Can anybody help me with approximate timeline, how long does it usually takes ?

When did your OWP application was submitted? Mine was submitted on October 6th, and I haven't heard any news so far.

I submitted both applications (PR + OWP) at the same time on September 1st and they received it on September 5th with my AOR on October 30th

Hi everyone, just wanted to give you all a heads up. Like many others here on this forum, my inland spousal sponsorship application was showing "action required" but no message indicating what action. We know there was/is a glitch in CIC's system that is giving this issue. However, I decided to message them this week to double-check they weren't trying to send me anything, as my application went in March this year, and I have heard absolutely nothing.

This morning I get an email saying there was a message. When I checked, it was not a 'sorry for the error everything is ok', but a letter dated in mid-April requesting documents no later than late May. Nothing else, just the outdated request. Interestingly the 'message sent' date is for today - and not backdated to April.

My 'Review of additional documents' status also changed this morning to ' We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details'.

If anyone else is still showing this same glitch - "action required" but no message indicating what action - it might be worth contacting CIC
