You have to email them with your tracking number and ask them about them. It's near the bottom of your ATIP email under "Questions".

HI Profiler, I'm the applicant of this March as well, several days later than you.I'm going to submit the request for atip notes these days. How's your notes, can you see any significant progress under current step.My linked status only showed 'background check' in progress, others all not started. Do you suggest I request notes now or wait some time later to see more information? Thanks!

I cannot say much, other than it will give you a feel for what the notes will look like. I can say I am surprised that my Sponsorship Application has not even been started, even though ECAS says it has. I suspect it's because they are working on her background first, to make sure she qualifies as a person who can be sponsored under the family class. Otherwise, the payment/fees was strange ... apparently the website who collected our money overcharged us $75 (says we paid $1115, should be $1040). This money is showing as "Reserved". Then it says for the services we have applied for, like RPRF, PR, and SA are all showing "amount paid: 0".

I can only see the communications that we have received as well. So I think we are on track....

I got my AIP on July 13. It has been two and a half months and I still have not heard anything from CIC..Does anybody know the approximate time between AIP and DM? Is it maybe too early to think about that?
I check the spreadsheet regularly but it doesn't help very much since nothing is changing..

My wife changed her last name as soon as we got the Marriage Certificate in the mail (new passport and driver's licence) and we used her married name in all the application forms. The passport photocopies we sent also has her new name in them.

Can someone explain why we see her maiden name on ECAS when we search for her sponsorship application? Does CIC address ladies with their maiden name?

They may have just entered the info off of the marriage licence, or that's the name on the Option C Printout, etc etc. CIC works in mysterious ways and they would need to check both names regardless. There are many stories like this on the forums and in the end it doesn't seem to have any bearing on the processing from what I've read.

I requested sponsorship notes after. Have not received them yet. Also requested another set of notes for the PA.

We got an e-mail from ATIP to asking to confirm that PA wanted it sent to Sponsor's e-mail. We confirmed right away but I hope that does not delay the notes.

I am a little impatient as we have not received any updates so hoping that the notes say something. Based on what you said the sponsor's notes will say the same as yours.

We also paid CAD$1040.00.

The first set that I got was the Sponsorship (we had to fix our consent form). They are reasonably boring, except for the payment/fees business, and that I can see they found a second person with my wife's name that they had quickly discovered and removed. They are technically due tomorrow, but they were nice enough to send at least one of them early. I want to see if the PA notes state that we are in the streamline.
