anybody knows when sponsored applicants get health insurance from the province?

Which province did they migrate to?

With OWP, Once your wife finds work and they provide her a letter (on company letterhead) stating they intend to employ her for 6 months or more, or with AIP.

Both have a 90 day waiting period. See: http://settlement.org/ontario/health/ohip-and-health-insurance/health-ohip-card/how-do-i-apply-for-a-health-card-ohip/

I suspect it's the same. But I would defer that question to someone more knowledgeable or Service Ontario (find a full service Service Ontario office, or call their information line).

There is a reciever there -- you could always try! I am aware they only really want couriers or mail staff, but I'd still try if it was important! There is no harm in trying! Coming from KWC it's a little more than 5 minutes, but I would make the trek anyway!

browning911 and I put in Privacy Act requests (if the applicant is in Canada, this can be done). You don't have to pay for Privacy Act requests, as it's information you are entitled to (it's about you). If you put in an ATIP request, it's $5.

Hello Everyone,

You defiantly learn something new everyday. How would I go about applying for these notes, and what do they included in them?

You have to pass a request into: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do
There is a thread on the GCMS notes here: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html , and there is also some external pages online. This video might also help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_E_dq_uLVo

The notes have all information that the Officers and Call Centre agents record on your file. The only thing they remove (from what I recall) is anything sensitive to an investigation, or anything from CSIS.

Quick question for you, which case file am I to request? Permanent Residence or Sponsership?

I would guess Permanent Residence. That should have most of the interesting details.

Guys,

I am just in Vancouver for the weekend, checking my work emails in the rain on the street in an open wifi network (how pathetic this starts, but it gets better) and burst into tears because of course I didn't expect at all to get my invitation for my LANDING INTERVIEW while I'm on vacation, in the rain on a random street in Vancouver while checking my work emails... This is insane.

Thanks everyone!!!! I am sending all my positive thoughts to everybody who is still waiting - everything will work out soon! it is only a matter of time- I think they really want to clean up the system and help everyone who is still waiting, and I guess I can be sure now that my app was pretty straight forward (and I didn't think that at the time). I will try to help out here wherever I can, maybe my case can help some of us being less stressed about it. And: pay your RPRF ahead of time, I have learned that now!
