Spousal Sponsorship in-land Applications 2016 timeline and updates

I have got sponsor approval today , CIC received my spouse application on 6th June 2016, almost an year.

Also my wife received medical exam request, we submitted upfront medical though, not sure if it is not valid after an year or it was system generated email sent to all the people, if anyone have clue please suggest.

Best is to redo it, it expires after 1 year. Therefore if they asked you, do it.

Hi i just wonder should i re do medicaltest again? I submitted before with my application in june 2016 and it said Pass on mycic but i think it's expired . I wanna do it before they request , is it possible? Thanks

They can extend the medical or ask you to redo it. Wait for a request.

It may be true. If they are waiting for submitted documents. That said, it's the same department, I think, that is also handling the digitizing the docs being sent via courier.

So, it might be fair to say, there is a tremendous amount of document requests?

They expire a year from the day the doctor submitted them. So yeah it would be expired. They just chose not to extend... Consider it collateral damage..

i sent my birth certificate with my application, but i did not send my wife's birth certificate. my wife sponsors me , i have read there are some people there applications have been returned because they need the birth cetificates of the family. for who they need birth certificates

Did your sponsor submit some form of Government ID? If so, then they may not worry about it, as all Government ID is tied back to a birth certificate of some sort...

Because of Canada's 150th birthday (well, of Confederation; or Constitution Day, or Dominion Day, if you are a really old Brit), they give out passes for national parks for free. Pelee is a national park...

Did your sponsor submit some form of Government ID? If so, then they may not worry about it, as all Government ID is tied back to a birth certificate of some sort...

I also wonder what exactly they are checking in the background check process. My husband went to college and university in Canada and have worked a couple of years since then, so one of my guesses is that they are checking with the schools and employers - which means if any of them delays in responding, the whole process gets delayed?

I'm sure your MP will be getting back to you soon. I believe they are required to provide a response within 7-10 business days.

I hope both our background checks are over soon.

If it helps any, I had my medical done in January 2016, and I found out today they've extended it to April 2018! Good luck to you.
