Hi everyone, I’ve been creeping this forum for a while now to keep an eye on the progress of other 2016 inland spousal sponsorship applicants. So I know someone mentioned that you shouldn’t judge your progress against others, HOWEVER, we are starting to get a little (more) impatient seeing other people who applied after us receiving responses/ contact from CIC. But we maybe biting our nails for no reason!

So our application was received January 18, 2016.
AOR received July 13, 2016
OWP received August 15, 2016

And since then nothing… The ‘check my application’ link on the CIC webpage shows a status of ‘Application Received’ and when we click on that is says ‘Medical results received’, (husband did his meds upfront). It has been that way since September.

Would it be worth trying (tirelessly) to call them and speak to someone to make sure our application hasn’t been lost/ his medical- criminal checks have expired etc.? Or will they not tell us anything until the standard wait time of 26 months is up?

Any advice is totally appreciated thanks! :D

Log into the check application status with the sponsor's details. What does it say?

I am wondering what they are doing.waiting is so irritating

Well, when I called to check a few days ago, it said they are working on apps received before March 21 2016. I know of two that were received on March 2 2016 that are ready to issue DM's and wisa's, but they are sitting waiting...

So, patience.... they are going to get to you.

You sure war is coming, executioner? Depends on what the purpose is, and who it's with, but if I don't like either, I can't help you -- I uh...got a thing...

It does not let me use my (the sponsor) information to log in with either the application number or client id, it only recognizes my husbands (the person being sponsored) name/dob/place of birth :S

No? Do you have a hyphenated or assumed last name? Assuming you don't have a representative, have you (or him) linked the application to myCIC yet?

She won't tell me that either -- "It will go to his head". As it is, some days it barely slides through doorways. Salmon is for her. I only rarely eat fish/sushi... My diet consists of significant amounts of red meat typically. I am the guy that goes to the specialized grocery stores (in our area, it's a Portuguese grocery) that sells super-thick Canada-AAA beef steaks that are at LEAST 1.5" thick and weigh at least 2 lbs each. #MmMMMmMmmmMmmMmmmMmmmmMMMMmmmM

Yeah Ripley was cool. We did it with mini-me. He went into cool-overload and we almost lost him in the area with the stingrays/jellyfish.

Steak is my least favourite thing to eat. Fish is my favourite. I do love lamb chops.

LOL. I was also in cool overload when I went to Ripley's.

Look like CIC forgot those people who applied after march 29, 2016.

Please do not say that. IRCC is working on applicants before 21 March 2016 so our time will come soon. Patience Grasshopper.

Just think about it this way there are some 2015 applicants that are still waiting. That is a travesty.

Steak is my catnip/cocaine..

Though my wife gets terrified when I spend more than a few minutes in the menu at any restaurant. It means I am considering asking for steak. 90% (unexagerated -- you know me -- never with the #FAKE NEWS) of them cannot cook it properly and it pisses me off. I started asking now for credentials of the sous chefs, before I order. I have had more steak comped than any human being I bet -- because people do not know how to cook a steak medium rare. It's either RAW/blue (and it's gross gnawing through tough veins -- I assure you), or it's overcooked. Like, why can I do it perfectly -- EVERY TIME.

Sowwy, I am battle averse. If I had to go to war I would go AWOL.

Ugh!

You see whenever I have had steak I always choose well done. I have not had it any other way. My brother in law loves steak. Like you, it must be medium rare.
