Lol, BTW Profiler, do you have any idea how OHIP differs from say Alberta health card? I have one from the month after I started my PhD as a full time student. Now, do I have to do anything with that post my PR? Or, does it stay the same?

Your Alberta health card currently has an expiry date on it. You can go to a registry office once you have your PR and get another one. The new one won't have an expiry date on it.

Yeah, OHIP is still a card. They all have an "expiry" on them. For TR's it's just sooner (PR/Citizens it's 5yrs).

Alberta apparently plans on taking care of us forever without the need to renew. No expiry date.
